RE: Trailer required - France - Bengley - 13-04-2013 I need to try and phone fooby to ask him if he wants me to do that. RE: Trailer required - France - Toms306 - 13-04-2013 Yep, good idea lol! Its there if you do anyway, just drop me a PM and I'll get email notification. ![]() ![]() RE: Trailer required - France - 306carter - 13-04-2013 Full AA European cover is £121 take it out today phone them tomorrow. I have done this in the UK you have to wait 24hrs for your policy to be valid IIRC. Doesn't anyone f*cking read anymore? Re: Trailer required - France - Fooby - 13-04-2013 Thank you all for your help and replies. Thank you for offering to come. Unfortunately we have run out of time. We have left the car behind. Jonny will be staying at mine whilst we work on a plan to legally and safely bring the car home. I will give you guys all an update when I have proper Internets. RE: Trailer required - France - 4WayDiablo - 13-04-2013 So you left the car in France? :-( RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013 Fooby I think renting that Citroen relay is the best bet. If you need a driver give me a shout. Driven there loads of times and I have a passport. RE: Trailer required - France - Toms306 - 13-04-2013 Good luck with getting it home soon as you can then guys. ![]() Re: Trailer required - France - kentiiboii - 13-04-2013 I would suggest. That I have a passport, nothing to do on Monday, access to a a-frame, but I live in east mids and I don't have a tow bar. RE: Trailer required - France - devils_fuel - 13-04-2013 But would the van, the car and passengers exceed the weight? I would be up for the trip but skint but the main reason is ive got the little one on my own all weekend Re: Trailer required - France - Fooby - 13-04-2013 Thanks Mark. Seems like our best bet. Problem is that mileage limit. We need to do just over 1,200 miles round trip. We will get totally bummed. We also need to make sure myself Jonny can drive it and we can take it to France. RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013 I can call them tomorrow morning and ask. Normally I get let off when driving to Paris. There is still something to pay but normally not that much. RE: Trailer required - France - 1616six - 13-04-2013 Foob, I hired a transit beaver tail, £98 for the day, unlimited miles, I'm 21 and could drive it on my license. RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013 That's why I offered to drive, I will be allowed for sure. RE: Trailer required - France - vlj - 13-04-2013 The Picasso has a tow bar /a frame if that's any use.. RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013 I did portsmouth to Berlin which is 742miles so you could do the trip in two days. RE: Trailer required - France - Niall - 13-04-2013 (13-04-2013, 06:30 PM)vlj Wrote: The Picasso has a tow bar /a frame if that's any use.. Wont be legal mate. I dont think most cars can do it legally bearing in mind that a a frame technically turns the car into a braked trailer and it will be over the cars MAM. And we've all seen how the foreigners are with legalities against the british. Jonny will end up having bum sex with 4 fat coppers just to get off a substantial fine and loosing the cars. Trailer required - France - Jonny b - 13-04-2013 Where exactly is the car? I have contacts in Paris! RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013 Lyon I am guessing jonny. Trailer required - France - Jonny b - 13-04-2013 Is the car somewhere safe and secure? I should be able to get it brought over! But probably not till the weekend RE: Trailer required - France - Niall - 13-04-2013 Jonny try messaging Fooby. He has net out there i think! Trailer required - France - Jonny b - 13-04-2013 How far is Lyon from Paris RE: Trailer required - France - Pompey306mark - 13-04-2013 289miles RE: Trailer required - France - Niall - 13-04-2013 465km according to google maps Trailer required - France - Jonny b - 13-04-2013 Ok let me make a few calls see what I can do! Bear with me Right my man is in Russia at the mo but will be back in France Tuesday! He's going to make a few calls, he may be able to get the car to Paris before! Then I can bring the cayenne over, at the weekend as long as costs are covered RE: Trailer required - France - ginge191 - 13-04-2013 (13-04-2013, 06:57 PM)Jonny b Wrote: Right my man is in Russia at the mo but will be back in France Tuesday!
