Got the pod today (thanks Piggy) git the gauges in there and wired up again. Yet to secure it to the dash in a propped up fashion!

Also will be putting the gulf competition tomorrow Wink

I've always liked this car before you had it to and your only making it more epic! Makes me wish my other half would let me play with her turbo diesel one. Sad just have to settle for my 306 for now

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Andy annear - 25-03-2014

This is so awesome dude, love it!

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - padge - 25-03-2014

looking good tom!

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - randomcaller - 25-03-2014

Quick question Tom, how have you routed your intercooler piping? I'm struggling to find a suitable sized cooler and finding room for piping as unfortunately I've got pas on my block :z I don't mind hacking the bumper apart but the only way I'm seeing so far is running them under the rad but then my slimline fans get in the way as I've had to mount them behind the rad too.

Cheers

The front mount has the ins/outs on the top so i just have 90's on them, if you go back through my thread theres pics of all of it Smile

Awesome pic Tom that answers the chaps questions lol

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - randomcaller - 25-03-2014

Cheers Tom, been looking at a couple of smaller ones with outlets at the top, so far I've been looking at intercoolers from a 1.6 rs turbo and a land rover defender. Still need to get my posts up so I can put a wanted for a front mount inlet adapter. Also are they c5 steels your running? I need something bigger than the standard 13s on mine lol but still managed to get 1.9 gti calipers behind them with literally a mill clearance ha

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Tom - 25-03-2014

Berlingo steels. Would love some C5 ones tbh, the gearing is so short for some reason Sad

Looks really nice this now tom well done to you and darren

Randomcaller iv got a spare inlet adaptor- daniel clifton on fb Smile

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Piggy - 26-03-2014

Put some miles on this yet tom?

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Tom - 26-03-2014

Yes piggy i certainly have enough to dump the crap oil anyway.

Cant be bothered to pull out the bimmer to get over the pit? No problem reach underneath and nick a few pit boards!

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Tom - 26-03-2014

Its like car love day today or something, just been in there with a bucket of hot soapy water and a cloth cleaning all the metal in the back still covered in stubborn dirt and "shit" but it is better...

Also fixed my floppy door pocket the best most french way ever!

And generally took that bucket of water and cleaned the door pockets and door cards and i even emptied out the glovebox off all the nuts, bolts, fuses, used condoms, handcuffs, bits of wire, ammo and all that. Just left the handbook and some emergency cable ties in there...

And in just a second im going down the road to my local tyre fitters to get some new top quality Dunlop rubber!! Then im going to come home and do some more cleaning, what a day.

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - bashbarnard - 26-03-2014

It must be a French car owner thing i carry round emergency cable ties and duck tape.

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Tom - 26-03-2014

Getting the new rubber on there.

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - mr_fish - 26-03-2014

freshen them wheels up and it will definitely set it off.

as said though, looking good and top work all round ThumbsUp

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Piggy - 26-03-2014

Rubber is still too skinny Tongue

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Tom - 26-03-2014

Wheels are bottom priority sadly, the rear torsion bard mean my arches are ruining the tyres so i want to sort that first, then when i need rubber again i will get them all powder coated Smile

I really wish i could come up and watch but i dont think i can afford it Sad I would happily clean your car though i love doing that :p

Its a shit problem, to "properly" fix it you have to buy new door pockets and they're getting hard to come by now. That cable tie holds it perfect, when you open and close the door its just a door sound, not a plasticy smashing sound lol!!

Wish I had some spare dollar to fund your fuel as it would have been nice to meet you mate

...it's only taken 6 months to fit the Bosch kit I bought from you, one of my quickest turn around times lol

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - Tom - 27-03-2014

Just wanted to say something about the Gulf oil. Its pretty epic, its still golden after 2 days. Normally diesel oil just goes black straight away. Thought that was pretty epic. But yeah tonight, done this...

RE: Joey the VNT boosted 205! - randomcaller - 27-03-2014

That gulf sounds good. Do you usually run 5/40? I've been putting 10 40 in mine, does it make much of a difference or is either fine? Couldn't make a definitive choice on what to run to keep it nice and healthy
