Looking good.

Why do we think MORE negative camber is necessary? You get all the negative you'll ever need just by lowering the front on a macpherson setup. You certainly don't want to be running on the inside of the tyres as without full race slicks you will never generate the lateral load to benefit.

If it's just for the look - then go for it!

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Piggy - 11-02-2013

yeah gota agree with JP here... you'll find a lot of track dedicated cars dont even have adjustables

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - darrenjlobb - 11-02-2013

Harder suspention + Good hard walled grippy tyres + suspention components in good condition is really all you need on the road...its not a race track afterall lol... But i guess wheels that look like there about to fall off does look win.

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - jammapic - 11-02-2013

We used to race a formula ford, and in full qualifying trim we ran less negative camber than my 306 lowered 50mm....

Darren's right, looks cool but serves no purpose...

Haha! I'm sure they do, Stu has a 306 track-car he's building around work with all his test bits on, but they were trial fitted to that in the first place, so should fit!!

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Niall - 11-03-2013

Can I correct you ed, don't you mean me or Sam will be fitting these?

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Ed Doe - 11-03-2013

I was going to set you up for that one later, but as you've picked me up on it..... yes! Tongue

In fairness I think I'm gonna need a buzz gun to get the top nuts off the compbrake units... Wink

But I should be able to do most if this one myself, rather than watching you and Sam lol!

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Niall - 11-03-2013

We will talk when I'm back home. Sure we can sort something

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Ben - 11-03-2013

So are they just camber adjustable, or caster as well? Looks like you can only adjust horizontally, not vertically as well?

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Ed Doe - 11-03-2013

Fixed caster adjustable camber Smile

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - CJ_Derv - 11-03-2013

Can think of better things to spend that amount of money on tbh, look fancy when open bonnet but have driven friends pug and couldnt notice much difference and that was driving it hard, mine slammed handled better IMO

Could understand if just a track car but just another thing for potholes to eat

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Ed Doe - 12-03-2013

So who's car did you drive cj? I what other modifications did it have? What did yours have? What tyres were the cars running? What camber and caster settings were the Adjustables set to? What spring rates were the coilovers? What rear beam was each car on? What toe settings were they running? All these will have affected the handling of each car and given you the opinion you have.

I respect your opinion but expecting these to make the sole difference in handling between two cars of unknown setup is a bit ridiculous... It's about having the ability to a) the set the car up as you want it, and b) to then be able to explore different settings to find ones that work for you in different applications.

And the bearings are iirc about 35quid a pair. So a damn sight cheaper than decent stock topmount replacements...

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - CJ_Derv - 12-03-2013

I understand what you mean and tbh im not sure what exact setup he has mines just got powerflex bushes not sure on coilys as came on car but theyre nothin special but i like having to battle with the lil fucker as it is haha

If i could warrant paying out for a full suspension setup i would but not on my 306 tbh as im getting a superbike soon so will be getting that setup as its damn cheaper and a lot more fun around a track Smile

But its each to their own as i know this is something your really clued up on where as i just like it to start when i turn the key n boooost Smile

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Niall - 21-03-2013

Ed do these already have some castor set on them? From looking at the pic, they look like the bearing is set quite a bit further back.

RE: *EDITED WITH PICS!* Baker BM Adjustable camber, fixed caster Top Mounts - Seid' - 21-03-2013

May be interest too. You already fit them? pics?
