I definitely won't be getting anything with win8. I got a win7 ultimate disc here I'll put on anything I buy anyway Smile

You want windows 7 for sure. For 200 you won't get much buying new. Maybe have a look second hand on eBay. See if you can pick something up with an i5 and 4gb memory

Definitely going second hand as well. I know my budget sucks. If I look at new ones I'd need like 600!

Windows 8 really isn't as bad as people make out once you get used to it.. I hated it with a passion til i had to use it daily for work

Just to update this again, its lightweight (way easier to throw around than my old 17incher) the screen size is small enough to be neat and again keep it lightweight but then still a great size, i can get the whole forum page on there, everythings easy to read, lovely! Its pretty quick but i expected it to be quick ish. Great little machine overall, well recommended Ruan! Repped sir.

Older HP stuff is really good IMO - you don't need masses of processing power these days, long as you use an OS that has decent memory management, Win7 isn't horrific in comparison to others, keep it free of shit, good amount of RAM and a decent ish hard drive, you're laughing.

And they're built well. It looks industrial, but won't fall to pieces.
