Cheers for the positive comments guys.

Is it weird that im struggling to come to terms with the fact that i have to break my old dt? Im so gutted yet i no its just a lump of metal thats pretty much worthless now!

RE: well i bought it - samass - 23-12-2012

just wait till you actually start taking things off with no intention of putting them back on.... it isn't fun

I think i may sit the shell up in the back garden just incase i need a project one day and she can live again,

its like its a shame to take a low miler off the road but realisticly its battered so its not, I think the fact that alot of stuff will be put to good use on the new one will make the blow of stripping her a little easyer, i now feel the pain of irean dude Sad

Nah man we've all done it. I genuinely was upset when the shell of mine got taken away.

RE: well i bought it - Toms306 - 23-12-2012

I had the same feeling when I started stripping the golf.....soon got over it though, turned out to be really interesting to strip. Smile

RE: well i bought it - puglove - 23-12-2012

I wasnt this cut up when i sold my old gti ffs but i guess thats because you know some one eles will enjoy it were as its the end of the road for this one, i can imagine as well niall as your 1.8 was tidy aswell

RE: well i bought it - Seid' - 23-12-2012

Wasn't just that. It's the fact you put so much time and effort into it and it becomes your pride and joy (even if it is just a French shit box) only to have to get rid of it. Wouldn't of minded if I ha of sold it and then a month later it got written off.

RE: well i bought it - Poodle - 23-12-2012

Was the same with the cabby, and the zx, even though both were heaps lol.

New one looks good though fella, fair play on the price too. Reckon you should spec this one up as you did the old, get her pulling properly for starters. Wink

Yeah thats what i meant by tidy, it had had the time and effort put in Sad

If some one els kills it, out of sight out of mind sort of thing enit

And a little bit of your 1.8 was living on in my DT too Sad

Yep plan is to transplant all the spec'd up bits from the old to the new, i.e all gti parts, transfer the lump and get the bosch fitted at the same time, should be a nice subtle little DT, may not FMIC this one to, going for a motorway/B road cruiser this time rather than a day to day ragger

RE: well i bought it - Niall - 23-12-2012

Haha 306 friends right? It's sad but tbh you get over it fairly quickly. I just lost love for mine because it was just one thing after another and realistically wasn't sensible to fix Sad

RE: well i bought it - puglove - 23-12-2012

Just part of owning a 306. Fix one thing another goes wrong lol. LOVE IT lol

Ooh yeah 306 frewnds Tongue

Your ARB will be fitted to the new DT

RE: well i bought it - Niall - 23-12-2012

Oh yeah forgot you bought my ARB! It's like life really. As it gets old, it spreads its seed throughout other cars then dies! Haha

RE: well i bought it - puglove - 23-12-2012

lmao repped for the life lesson

RE: well i bought it - Curt - 23-12-2012

Looks good Jamie, good price too Smile

Team phase win yo (even if it has too many doors).

RE: well i bought it - Seid' - 23-12-2012

RE: well i bought it - Pete - 23-12-2012

RE: well i bought it - Matt - 24-12-2012

It was killer when I decided to strip the xsi. Luckily the shell has gone to Sam so he will rebuild it better Smile

well i bought it - Frosty - 24-12-2012

Looks like a good buy you got. And as most of the others said sigma is such a great colour!

Re: well i bought it - Tyronnster - 24-12-2012

What interior you have

RE: well i bought it - Curt - 24-12-2012

Well you have an entire phase 2, so change anything you want? lol

RE: well i bought it - puglove - 24-12-2012

Tyronnster. Its not so much the seats more the dash/door cards/ dials/ center console.

Think i will do a full strip down and a full internal ph2 swap out and re work the center of the dash.

Is there a guide to over ride the key fob

RE: well i bought it - procta - 24-12-2012

i miss my phase1

RE: well i bought it - Birk - 24-12-2012
