RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - silverzx - 12-10-2013

Yeah, going under radiators is never a good shout...

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - Midnightclub - 12-10-2013

Should have looped it over the top like we did on ours, acts like a twin pass setup

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 12-10-2013

Thought about it but didn't want to do any cutting I'd say it will be fine
Thanks for your comment

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - Midnightclub - 12-10-2013

We didn't have to cut anything, it fits like oem

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - silverzx - 12-10-2013

HDi's have plenty of room for pipe to go around either side of the radiator.

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - Poodle - 12-10-2013

Lol, yeah if you're using 1.5" pipes. The offside gap is about 45mm at it's widest point, that's why so many people go twin-pass.

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - Piggy - 12-10-2013

I went up and over with one side and cut the slam a wee bit

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 13-10-2013

My pipe was 2.5" so it was the handiest route

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 13-10-2013

What bhp should I see after a stage 2 remap?

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - rd070707 - 13-10-2013

In and around 150 depending on other mods, arron on here rolled 154bhp there on his hd which is stage 2 mapped with a few other supporting mods. Get a good map off whippy or prosteve would be my advice

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 13-10-2013

Only mod I would say would have anything to do with bhp would be the exhaust which is just a full straight through ?

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - rd070707 - 13-10-2013

yes that is ideal. Only other thing I can think you'd need is the egr blanked off. Oh and on stage 2 the boost is usually increased slightly. Get talking to a good mapper they will sort you out

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 13-10-2013

Egr is blocked now just need it mapped out
Yeah going for map tomorrow Smile

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - rd070707 - 13-10-2013

Tomorrow? where at? please don't say torquetronix

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - mcglynn - 13-10-2013

Yeah please dont say wishart, your hdi will be running "180bhp'

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - rd070707 - 13-10-2013

Its just that the likes of prosteve has mega experience mapping 306s, the cars on here are testament to his work

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - mcglynn - 13-10-2013

Torque tronix spool some shite aswell with figures and the losses on theyre dyno aren't right either so theres 'proof' of these figures.

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 13-10-2013

Am for obd auto tune in Ballymena
Wouldn't go to torque tronix

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - mcglynn - 13-10-2013

Autotune arent so bad, ive the lead here if u want to borrow it and go pro steve or whippy. Theyll map the 16hdi sensor in for u etc.

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - Arron - 13-10-2013

Seriously I would use one of the forum mappers unless your going for a live map by a diesel specialist which id imagine wouldnt be cheap.

Thing ia the forum mappers specialise in thw bosch hdi fuel system so they can tailor your map I.e: launch control, rev limiters etc

How much is the map from that place and what sort of gains do they think youll get

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - mcglynn - 13-10-2013

Autotune are a reputable tuner with their own in house dyno etc, but it will cost a lot more than a forum file service map

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 15-10-2013

Been to obd auto tune already and car made from 89.5 bhp to 145 bhp more than happy with it Smile

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - rd070707 - 15-10-2013

Good job mate, does she go well?

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - mcglynn - 15-10-2013

What sort of torque figures. Standard clutch?

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 15-10-2013

Yeah goes great
Can't remember he's to email me the printout

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - padge - 15-10-2013

get it mapped by someone on here, should make 155-160bhp Smile

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 15-10-2013

219lbft of torque
Will wait to the clutch would maybe slip then see about that kyle

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - mcglynn - 15-10-2013

Must go a whole lot better than before anyway!

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - Midnightclub - 16-10-2013

Sounds like it's been put on a limited torque map

RE: 306 FMIC FAQ - maguire1992 - 16-10-2013

She goes really well
The man said he hadn't had a 306 make 150 bhp before...
