RE: Filled up the GTi6 - 1616six - 13-09-2012

Thats savage!

I get 300 miles to £40 without the light coming on in the hdi..

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Curt - 13-09-2012

I think they're pretty good for what they are, they're not exactly built for cruising. Never done a tank full as I never fill it up, but I get about 150 to £30... which is significantly better than my Audi. I reckon I'd get 350-400 with mixed driving

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - kyleo92 - 13-09-2012

I put £87 in the HDi and got 483 miles... Which round London I didn't think was too bad

But that is bad MPG lol

ORLY...

Incidentally, 66 litres was a regular occurance on my HDi. 67 litres on 3 separate occasions. It's just the way my commuting worked out with pump stops.

Because of this, it makes Chris 27.006% happier which offsets the 19.8% decrease in happiness when he sees his bank balance and realises its 2.8% lower than it would of been if he had gone for fuel save. This overall gives a 7.206% increase in Chris-ness
HOWEVER
Because Chris is 27.006% happier, his open smile is 2.867% bigger causing a 27.008% increase in wind drag meaning he's actually 0.002% slower than when he first started.

This clearly proves that vpower just is not worth the extra money

lol! Love it. Smile

Reading this makes me feel good about getting comfortably over 700 miles from a tank Big Grin

Yeah, that 60l is as accurate as anything else on a 15 year old 306.

On my old HDi i could get almost 70l

Im looking into it. Ill wait and see if my sister wants to sell me back the NAD

How the fook do you get 700 miles to a tank, have you got a hole in the floor and run like Fred flintstone!

Wish I did :-(

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - samass - 15-09-2012

HAH!

volvo did 21mpg, and that was driving like a grandad, and overtaking a bus, once.

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Ed Doe - 15-09-2012

The nad does 570 or so to a tank, but then the tank is only 40itres to fill up Tongue

Filled up the GTi6 - Jonny b - 15-09-2012

Ha ha I done about 80 miles on track yesterday and used just over 3/4 of a tank lol

That doesn't make me feel so bad about putting in £20 (quarter of a tank) and getting 57 miles..

Filled up the GTi6 - Jonny b - 15-09-2012

Yeh I only usually put 20 in at a time, there was a tesco near that done premium 99 Ron better than vpower, was cheaper to

Dont think I ever ran my nad empty to fill it up but was averaging 55mpg even with my driving, on the motorway it would do 65mpg

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Ed Doe - 15-09-2012

I'm sure I'd get better mpg if I did any motorway driving in it, but all my commuting is on Twisty a and b roads, and I do drive it on the door handles for lols Tongue

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Toms306 - 15-09-2012

67mpg average in my NAD, and a lot of that was 90mph stints up to Rowells and back haha.

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Pugmarshall - 16-09-2012

In my Dturbo I did 30 miles with the fuel light on, filled it up @£75 and did 575 miles after driving with the light on for 30 more miles... 48.5MPG booting it most of the time, is that about right?

Yep, pretty much spot on for a dturbo.
Saying that with the tune I had I was doing like 1mpg on boost I'm sure of it Sad

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - darrenjlobb - 16-09-2012

I have no idea how anybody justifies that MPG level of fail for the performance level you get back....

I bet you still get 50mpg on a run lol

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Dum-Dum - 16-09-2012

i justify the noise and the ability to make flames.

Hm, noise is very debatable, surely as a diesel owner / after looking at videos you can agree?!

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Jonny81191 - 16-09-2012

Done near 400 miles to just over 1/2 a tank over the weekend, and that was having fun in Scotland and being a general hooligan, then cruising down the motorway with random bursts of WOT!

Oh yeah, and my car is quicker than the appallingly thirsty GTi6's

HDi FTMFW!

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - samass - 16-09-2012

i just got 369 miles out of a tank in the volvo, and that was mostly motorway cruising, with the odd hoon up to 60/70...she barge needs to go!

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Toms306 - 16-09-2012

I've done 100 miles in the Avensis since brimming it and the needle still hasn't moved off the max mark....guess its broken lol, the range has dropped by 110 miles though, thought it used the same fuel tank level but maybe it doesnt!

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - procta - 16-09-2012

fuckin shite the fuel prices are! my mates decided to ditch the vectra derv for a 1.8t petrol A3. but until his vectras sold hes using his mini cooper ( the propper mini) as its cheeper to run.
my rover costs about 50 quid to fill up from empty, i put in about 20 quids worth of fuel, but i go by the litres instead of filling it right up. metros dont like to be brimmed.

My pug does the same .. I always thought it was to do with the shape of the fuel tank. After 90 miles it starts to drop, or do you fill the neck up as well?

RE: Filled up the GTi6 - Niall - 17-09-2012

My skoda does that Tom. Get about 150 miles on full then starts to drop
