Totaly with you on that one, im not sure what could be achieved in the way of hybrid boxes, if somthing could be done to rain in the 1st fw gears correctly id be interested , maybe get a group buy/conversion on the go

in theory its all possible, i've been meaning to find out what the different ratios are in all the diff boxes and doing some sums and seeing what would happen. in theory, youd be able to change over the sets of cogs for each of the gears.
tempted to pull my spare xsi box apart...
