Re: matts xsi euro project - taylonm - 15-12-2011 Cool project fella, Its moved along really quick considering the time you've owned it. Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 15-12-2011 It did move pretty quick but has slowed abit now, due to weather and no money lol. Hopefully in the new year I'll be able to sort all this painting out lol Re: matts xsi euro project - Gunge - 15-12-2011 Looking good mate I wouldn't go with a massive stretched tyre the wall is made so weak with a stretch, i had 8x18s with 205/35/18 and that bulged the side wall after less than 1k Re: matts xsi euro project - Curt - 15-12-2011 Brace looks good mate, bolts look a bit better too ![]() Re: matts xsi euro project - Jimmyboycheck - 15-12-2011 what you doing with the induction up there? it was good where it was with lots of air flow..... Re: matts xsi euro project - Niall - 15-12-2011 If he had it down behind the rad, then if his has the same top hose as mine then I suffered from horrendous heat soak! Re: matts xsi euro project - Curt - 15-12-2011 Jimmyboycheck Wrote:what you doing with the induction up there? it was good where it was with lots of air flow..... And lots of potential to suck up some water... Especially in this weather, I wouldn't have left it where it was and Matt thought it best to be safe so we moved it. Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 15-12-2011 Yeah was moved as it was so wet. It will go back in the summer with a cold air feed Re: matts xsi euro project - sam - 15-12-2011 Good move tbh mines near enough touching the floor lol Re: matts xsi euro project - procta - 15-12-2011 looking good there! got me thinking about angel eyes again for my 306, i had a set for the phase1. but one of the LEDs died and it was a right sod to get a replacement, which put me off getting after market lights again. Re: matts xsi euro project - Niall - 15-12-2011 Oh yeah that was a reason why mine was moved. Drove it through a few puddles and the bottom of the filter was getting damp :o Btw Matt loving the new colour scheme! Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 15-12-2011 Thanks for all the comments ![]() Yeah Niall I love the new colour scheme can't wait to get it all on there. Future paintwork to be done: Repaint rear bumper Smooth and paint front Paint grill and hockey sticks Possibly paint the bonnet too Sort the bloody keying out Then paint the wheels Then strip out the back ![]() Few things to fix: Throttle cable Exhaust need a new clamp Fix weird knock from engine bay Things to fit: Ecu Amp for front speakers Possibilities: Black headlining Paint the black strips on filler cap purple Dtm mirrors Re: matts xsi euro project - Niall - 16-12-2011 Matt you know you wanna do the black roof lining. Makes the car feel so much nicer inside!! Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 16-12-2011 I really want too. What paint do you use? Re: matts xsi euro project - Niall - 16-12-2011 Paint is for gays. It goes all crusty with paint. I used suede material and some proper retrimming glue. Re: matts xsi euro project - Gunge - 16-12-2011 along with black lining you need phase3 cabriolet visors Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 16-12-2011 ![]() ![]() Also going to spray my inlet. But worked out it will take me 4 days to paint the way I want, with removal, cleaning, painting and refitting. So going to see if anyone near me has a crappy inlet that they wanna swap for my silver one, I'll get the spare done, then stick it on. That way car will only be off the road for like a few hours while I do the swap Re: matts xsi euro project - Bananalad - 16-12-2011 Car looks great! Lensos suit it down to a t... I want to do my headlining black to but i think it will be too tricky with my sunroof Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 16-12-2011 Sunroof should be fine, if your painting it should be okay, but if trimming it will be a little difficult but do able. Love my lensos refurbing them at the moment ![]() Re: matts xsi euro project - karl1989 - 18-12-2011 nice car mate. really like the rear bumper. did you smooth the line across the top too? Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 18-12-2011 Yeah smoothed both, front is in the process of being done ![]() Re: matts xsi euro project - karl1989 - 18-12-2011 im trying to get a ph3 rear bumper to do the same. had my front ph3 bumper number plate smoothed but the gf rolled into a taxi and cracked it ![]() Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 18-12-2011 Just fill it and do it agian. That's what fiberglass was made for ![]() Re: matts xsi euro project - karl1989 - 18-12-2011 cant do fiberglass to save my life lol just use filler Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 19-12-2011 Use fiberglass filler, that p40 stuff. Strong as fook Re: matts xsi euro project - karl1989 - 19-12-2011 i cant do it tho haha. im clue less on using it. al see if i can find a video on how to use it Re: matts xsi euro project - mark_airey - 19-12-2011 karl1989 Wrote:i cant do it tho haha. im clue less on using it. al see if i can find a video on how to use it See here http://www.306oc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=238&p=7523& But basically, key with sandpaper, skim with P40 to just below where you want the finished surface (don't put too much on as its a bastard to sand back again) and then skim over that with P38 filler and sand back to a nice smooth finish.......... ![]() Re: matts xsi euro project - sam - 20-12-2011 i spoke to the blokey whos doing my spray job hes going to get back to me in a couple of days with a quote for you ![]() Re: matts xsi euro project - Matt - 20-12-2011 Cheers mate Re: matts xsi euro project - sam - 20-12-2011 no worries boyo |
