RE: Matts rallye project - Matt - 22-06-2012

Haha f*ck no!

Miss the sound of my xsi already Sad

RE: Matts rallye project - Ed Doe - 22-06-2012

Matt it doesn't sound like you've bought a shitter, it sounds like you've bought a bit of a project. It's all really easy stuff to sort, but my advice is with as much as you possibly can get it sorted properly once, dont bodge it togehter, cause in the end it'll come back to haunt you and that's what ultimately kills the love for the car. Take your time about it, do the research, then get it done properly Smile

All joking aside, it looks tidy enough buddy, and with a few easy weekends on it, it'll be a proper minter again.

I also have the boot trim boot carpet and main carpet if you want it off my '6... if your not taking it out of the excesspie?

Also, please please please wait till you can do the suspension properly; racelands on a wallye is a slappable offence!! Tongue

RE: Matts rallye project - Scott - 22-06-2012

I'm really looking forward to seeing this buddy! I know you'll want to get stuff done but just make sure things get done properly Wink Happy to lend a hand whenever, and I've just got some new clay bars so I'll clay the car for you if you chuck a few quid in for the detailing gear, and I'm sure Niall will be up for mopping it if he gets a little for his compounds and whatnot!

I'm surprised you're not just going to leave the rear of the car stripped?

RE: Matts rallye project - Connor - 23-06-2012

So white and pink? Whens the next camping meet? Big Grin

RE: Matts rallye project - Matt - 23-06-2012

Ed- Racelands are going nowhere near the car haha. Apparently it's already lowered, it's on apex springs, it's comfy as f*ck but looks like its lowered at 20mm max. Going to save up and after all the bits from xsi have sold or I've stolen them for the rallye I'll see how much I have. Anything profit on what I make back on the price of the rallye is going towards suspension.

Scott- I'm hoping a good clay, mop and polish will bring it up nicely.
There is a few dents and scratches around the car but its too be expected when I didnt pay as much as other rallyes. I want to keep it stripped but it is so light, and a combination of light backend ad shit tyre means the rear of the car over takes me on corners.

Connor- stay the f*ck away from my car

RE: Matts rallye project - Poodle - 24-06-2012

So whens this coming to Southampton sos i can have a gander?

Lol @ Connor, careful mate, think there may actually be death involved if you f*ck with this one. lol

Seats halfway through

RE: Matts rallye project - Scott - 24-06-2012

Christ that was filthy!

RE: Matts rallye project - Matt - 24-06-2012

Yeah the front seats looked liked the ones that are in curts greenhouse. Were covered in dirt/dust/semen
So bad, to the point the misses didn't want to sit in them.

The bolster on drivers one has gone, will put a pic up of the incredible repair hahaha was epic

I'm hoping that's not what the ones in Curt's greenhouse are covered in.
Speechless

RE: Matts rallye project - Matt - 24-06-2012

RE: Matts rallye project - kingy - 24-06-2012

RE: Matts rallye project - Fozzy - 25-06-2012

Wow those seats were bad, has someone been chewing on the bolsters too, i thought mine were bad. I got a spare set that i took material off in better condition than those.

Whats the mileage?

RE: Matts rallye project - Dum-Dum - 25-06-2012

Matt your handles are probably grey because thats how they come from Peugeot ready in primer to be sprayed.

RE: Matts rallye project - Poodle - 25-06-2012

Had a good nose round this earlier, like it a lot despite the niggles. Got some farking random marks on the bodywork though, can't work out how some of them have happened...

Spare seats eyyy. Are they salvageable? Also along the rear of the seats where my gap is, do you have a spare bit of metal? I cba to drill the rivets out haha. Hoping I can just find one.
Replacement handles should be here soon. Spicing some proving difficult.
And poodle yes very odd. Thanks for giving me a hand today mate Smile

RE: Matts rallye project - Fozzy - 26-06-2012

Seats were only bought for the material, they are in similar shape to yours, i ve already stripped the backs down and thrown the sponge and metal as took up too much room.

RE: Matts rallye project - Poodle - 26-06-2012

No probs mate, was a good laugh, your granddad is a pretty funny guy. I've got a random bit of metal plate you can have out the back of the zx, should be bodgeable. Wink

RE: Matts rallye project - Matt - 26-06-2012

Sweet cheers mate Smile oh and foz it's 113k Smile
