either I've opened a can of worms, or I've found a topic for informed discussion.
now, going back to my original ask, to be any "use" the sender would need to be between the pump & the stat, yes?

Interesting, is the inlet to the pump not at suction?

I doubt there will be significant suction to make difference to the 1.4 bar total pressure, its more about flow at the pump not pressure.
