So RAC at £99 with £50 cashback... hopefully! Cheers guys RE: Best Breakdown Cover - silverzx - 21-04-2016 (21-04-2016, 01:00 PM)Eeyore Wrote: Right I think ive done it now! RE: Best Breakdown Cover - Eeyore - 21-04-2016 even the £99 is decent. Hopefully less persistent phone calls from RAC as well.... But that's cancelled out now! I have used it once and my dads used once too, in the last 3 years. l I know that, they changed to Auto windscreens, they were in administration before I went to them anyway, Also I didn't owe them anything, ![]() Shame they were a bunch of twats, as they were great the 1st time I used them, ( when I got my 1st car) but the second time around, the service was shocking! RE: Best Breakdown Cover - ct-hdi - 21-04-2016 go to rescuemycar.co.uk used them for years... peanuts to cover you, even on personal with national and homestart... they are mainly just a recovery service, but lets be honest most people on here just want it dragging home so it can be fixed later... give them a try ![]() Quick service, out in less than 35 mins, when i had my old 'unmodified' 206 which was lowered 100mm he should have told me to F**k off but he still towed me home which was nice of him RE: Best Breakdown Cover - Frosty - 06-03-2017 I'm thinking it's about time i sorted some break down cover out. I'm thinking about just going with the AA, it's looking to be about £99 though. Anyone know any offers on at the moment? RE: Best Breakdown Cover - Eeyore - 06-03-2017 be sure to have a look on the cashback sites. £50 is possible in places when I looked last year. Took out a policy with RAC in January, £99 with £50 cashback through Quidco. RE: Best Breakdown Cover - Frosty - 07-03-2017 Ok cheers guys, these cashback sites all ok? Just sounds too good to be true with getting the cash back. RE: Best Breakdown Cover - lolsteve - 07-03-2017 Topcashback is the one I've used for years, always got my dollar. Think I've had about £250 out of them over the years RE: Best Breakdown Cover - Dum-Dum - 07-03-2017 AA/RAC are much of muchness although I'll always stick with the AA. There's very little in it in price and the AA have always been great for me and my family. My mum has been an AA member since 1979. Do they put your price up extortionately each year? Don't bin the letters. Mine went from 50 to 250 and it was all on direct debit so would have gone through if I hadn't cancelled it. Its all a scam for noobs. Think I've had about £250 out of them over the years Bank transfer or paypal, Amazon credit. All legit. RE: Best Breakdown Cover - chylledapps - 09-03-2017 I did a lot of research after RAC put up my premium 60% and even the call centre couldn't tell me why when I had never used them. Based on the fact that I can jump start from a power pack if i break down at home and a travel lodge is generally only 50 quid if I need to stay away because of a breakdown I went with start rescue for £38 per year. Gets the motor to a workshop or home, based on the fact most of us are pretty handy with the tools I think it sort of fits the bill |
