Re: Side airbag light - Niall - 15-12-2011 KrisB Wrote:Yellow plug is earth. Not sure if it is the same because I fitted gti6 seats in my XS (exactly same age as his) and all the plugs matched up. Not only that but the cutouts in the plugs meant you could only plug one into one. Couldn't get them mixed up! Re: Side airbag light - KrisB - 15-12-2011 Im more talking about those that have no plugs to use. The plugs change the polarity of the wires. Might have to take one of my seats out at the weekend and see where the earth lead leads to on the seat. Maybe if we earth this on grants seat it will cure the problem?! So theoretically we could just link the earth on the body loom to the casing of the airbag? Not sure I want to f*ck about doing things like that. Airbags scare me! Lol Re: Side airbag light - cully - 15-12-2011 dont think it needs it to be honest it looks like its used to trigger the seatbelt not fastened light Re: Side airbag light - Niall - 15-12-2011 cully Wrote:dont think it needs it to be honest it looks like its used to trigger the seatbelt not fastened light Really? Mines got the earth cable in but I'm sure there is no cable running into the seatbelt plug! If there is I might wack a bulb in the dash and see if it works!
