Thanks !

Woaa your engine is very nice !  Inlove

This weekend I found a " modine " HDI . It is larger than that of RS it will be well to warm up and stabilize the oil.

RE: XU10J4R(S) Project ! - cully - 08-10-2015

what engine loom will you be using?
i assume your using a GTI6 engine loom
just be warned the PH2 loom is different to the PH3 loom
they are interchangable but you have to swap some sensors over as the plugs are different

PAS sensor
MAP sensor
Oil pressure sensor
gearbox reverse switch

also you are using the early ph2 cam pulleys that are prone to crack it may be wise to upgrade to the later PH3 pulleys Wink

RE: XU10J4R(S) Project ! - Yohann77 - 08-10-2015

I use the XU10j4R engine bloom, i tested the connections and it looks good at plugs.

Thank for the information about cam pulleys, i did not know  ThumbsUp

You have a photo of the phase 3 pulleys ?

Woa... Ph2 pulleys are really shit !

RE: XU10J4R(S) Project ! - insomaniac45 - 09-10-2015

wow, your lucky you spotted that, hate to think of the damage it could have caused.. Sad

looking back through the pics, it looks like you have ph2 pulleys Sad notice the bend in the spokes, PH3 do not have that bend Sad swap them out just to be safe is my advice. Beautiful engine beautiful build, be a shame to risk any damage from a cracked cam pulley.

My 406 SRI with XU10J4R had the same problem but so lucky there was no abnormalities !

but after that around 1 year, the 3 locking bolt of Intake side was loose that made the valve bent and piston scratch !

Also, The RFV upgrade with RFS part that I have done with my 406, I got extra 15 WHP and 18.6 lb-ft at the same Dynamometer that you can feel the difference.

Remark : I put only Intake manifold, Cams, Custom Intake and Exhaust system with RFV loom. Some of my friend that also have the exhaust manifold and remapped ECU MP5.2 got extra 30 WHP !

RE: XU10J4R(S) Project ! - Yohann77 - 14-10-2015

Yes I have to find the phase 3 pulleys .

I do not want to break everything because of pulleys. That would be stupid .

By cons to find it will not be easy ...  Undecided

Maxzy: 30 hp without the pistons of the RS ?

It's a good job of keeping the ecu XU10J4R !

You have a topic with your work?

RE: XU10J4R(S) Project ! - figus - 26-09-2016

helo

I love this projects. I am also working on something similar. I have original XSI 2.0 16v but I want to keep the original pistons. exhaust manifold is already fitted (works perfect) now i woking on the inlet manifold (but i think you use original RFV injector is better or must find something with similar parameters, only more cc/min like 0280156038) and RFS cams are ordered. i have same problem with a max lift of the valve springs should be 9.65mm and RFS cams have valve lift 10mm. how to solve?

and you should buy this part

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Peugeot-306-GTI-Engine-Water-Intake-Tank-Pipe-Part-No-1336K6-/121983246312

it is water pipe on the back of engine if you mounting -RFS exhaust manifold u need it.

Srry for my english Smile
