RE: Road trip! - cully - 01-10-2015

Only just left buying it sorting tax nd insurance before we left
Only to be pulled over cause the police database had it marked woth no insurance

Good job I stopped to as the insurance change email was on my phone
Which the officer was more than happy with

Wished us a safe trip then we were off again
We are still around 2 hour's from home
Its going to be a late night

I'd expect a genie to come out of the dash waving a fan in my face for how much you paid for it! Lol

RE: Road trip! - Redordead89 - 01-10-2015

Congrats Kayley the cars lovely! treat her well and she will take care of you too!
Hope you's get home safe!

RE: Road trip! - cully - 01-10-2015

we are home!
we got the car from East Sussex
anywhere on that coast from Devon is a royal pain in the ass to get to as the roads that way are shit

its taken us a total of 9 hours to get this bloody car but i must admit it does look clean
the advert over exaggerated the imperfections

RE: Road trip! - Redordead89 - 01-10-2015

Wiiiiiiin!
Could have been worse cully, I picked my xsS up from West Sussex after a flutter on ebay and I'm way up in Glasgow! 1.6 TU 500 miles of motorway and dead ear drums from the hum of the fart can on the back of it lol
So lovin it up here though!

That thing was ridiculously loud lol. I remember when you came to Dans to help with the engine conversion on my HDI how loud that thing was.

Then you crashed it.

RE: Road trip! - Eeyore - 02-10-2015

Yes. Expect to see her a lot more on the forum now. When is it being lowered and remapped?

RE: Road trip! - Midnightclub - 02-10-2015

If you're lucky you might even have a map for it already

RE: Road trip! - Dum-Dum - 02-10-2015

"showing no insurance on the computer" yeah right.

More like Saw cute bird driving, pulled over to say hi, met overprotective dad with the hands of a murderer, waved on way.

RE: Road trip! - cully - 20-10-2015

kayley has had this thing 20 days now and she still didnt wash the thing

things that we have done to this
rear disc and pads
sort the handbrake as the calliper leavers were seized
a few lamps
Fixed earth fault bringing EML on

washed it yesterday with neat TFR to ride the paint of yukeness

today it was sent for MOT

it failed on

low brake fluid in reservoir
front pads bellow 1.5mm

to be fair i didn't look at them as the brakes felt good

anyway the car has 12 months MOT with no advisory s now
so were happy
