Hi guys,
Just wanted to clarify a few things that have been brought up. We don't routinely patrol PMs as it's an invasion of privacy and is completely unacceptable. As Scott said, the PMs are stored as simple text within the DB so we do have the capacity to search through them.
We were informed by a new member that they had received a PM from a pre-existing member about OC and the "various benefits of joining". We investigated and searched through to find if any other new members had been contacted and we found a few.
On the subject of finances, I answered every question you asked accurately and with current figures. I'm not sure who your source is but I think they're a bit out of touch with the current situation.
Hopefully this is helpful but I really want to stress that we don't read PMs apart from in situations such as this or disparity between what we're being told by members.

What about you editing a couple of posts where people mentioned OC being better than .net, to say OC is better than club306? Not really on changing what people say of their own free will...
Anyway, the main point of this thread is to convey to our members to avoid ruffling feathers on your site by inviting people to join ours via pms. As Scott said, he believes he is aware of the few instances where this has occured, and who the person(s) involved may be. We have also requested of our members not to get involved in slagging matches etc.etc.etc. on your site.
We're all on the internet for much the same thing, irrespective of the site we prefer to use, so I think this subject is best left now.
