RE: Thoughts on mk1 mx5 - Piggy - 15-12-2014 'come off the throttle'.... Not sure what you mean?!? ![]() RE: Thoughts on mk1 mx5 - Poodle - 15-12-2014 ![]() Ah, of course, i've been doing it wrong the whole time! RE: Thoughts on mk1 mx5 - Ben Jay - 17-12-2014 im a 306 to mx5 convert. have no idea why i didnt have one sooner. im 6'2 and have plenty of room in it. yes its not the most refined of cars. but it is so much fun there isnt a time ive gone for a drive with out having a smile on my face from driving it. and yea i do get the hairdresser comments but i will give any one £10 if they actaully find me a proper hair dresser that drives one... RE: Thoughts on mk1 mx5 - madwelshman - 17-12-2014 Never driven an MX5, but heard sooooo many people say what fun they are to drive/chuck around. I'd say go for it. If the rust gets too bad, advertise it on Retro Rides forum and someone will snap it up for the engine and box to drop into a Hillman Hunter or Volvo Amazon (both been done/in the process of being done on there). Thoughts on mk1 mx5 - Razorback_Rob - 18-12-2014 I've driven a couple. Latest being my mates: ![]() Didn't think much of it. The 1.8 felt a bit numb really. And nowhere near as much pull as I was expecting :/ the hdi has blasted it quite a few times and it's bad that it put a bigger smile on my face. |
