RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - powerandtorque - 20-11-2014 Yup, I was going to say that there's still some floating around that come up for sale every now and then. What I suspect he means is that all those that resellers had on the shelf were replaced. RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - mossy1985 - 20-11-2014 Every day is a school day, I will probs buy an item like that brand new tbh RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - cully - 20-11-2014 i couldn't get out of him the difference in the two other than There's no way to tell them apart really - the ring gear are the same size, although the offset is different i found out early ones EN8D grade steel have smaller ring gear later EN19T chromoly steel have a larger ringear i was trying to work out if the one i bought was an early or later anyone else shed andy light on the differances i believe the timming mark teeth are cut square on one and have a triangle airspace profile on the other but i bont know on the version for each RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Niall - 20-11-2014 (20-11-2014, 07:21 PM)cully Wrote: i couldn't get out of him the difference in the two Easiest way to tell is the noise it makes when you start it. If it just sounds like a stock engine when cranking, its a later one. If it sounds completely different, its a early one although did you not buy yours new when you first got the 6? If so, it will be later as IIRC the first gen ones were stopped bloody years ago. RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - cully - 20-11-2014 bought it second hand and its still in a box in the shed ![]() RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - Niall - 20-11-2014 Ah in which case i wouldn't know. Im sure there is a visible difference but i wouldn't know what! RE: Lightened flywheel and crank pulley - adam b - 01-01-2015 Use a diesel starter on the gen 1 iirc |
