Its not though. Could balance a penny on that thing! Its shocking just how a refined engine it is. Then again, I have spent most my life driving vans and 306's lol

It is but a heavily modified version which you can really tell the difference. Like Grant says, you could balance a penny on that thing even at 14 years old!

RE: New Car - Piggy - 30-07-2014

still a ford engine. Still need a pipe and green blazer with suede patches now grant Tongue

RE: New Car - Poodle - 30-07-2014

Wink

Tbf these are very nice to be in, don't seem to wear as badly as most Jags. They just bore me slightly lol, very stolid to drive and you can really feel the weight. That's amazing economy from something like this though, fair play!

Hahaha yes! That would suit you down to the ground, Grant, don't forget the bad tie! Rofl

RE: New Car - Curt - 30-07-2014

Looks nice, must be comfy and refined. Bit of a change though!

I do like stuff like this... I just get bored too easily. I only had my 330d until the logbook arrived for that reason...

RE: New Car - THE_Liam - 30-07-2014

DOES IT HAVE A TAPE DECK? I LOVE TAPE DECK!

RE: New Car - Grant - 30-07-2014

Don't worry guys, I already have the following on order;

-a tweed jacket with leather elbow patches
-a pipe
-a monocle
-a tartan rug for the rear shelf
-a pet owl
-a set of tapes for the tape deck, for Liam.

As said, it differs heavily from the ford engines. We use a lot of fords at work. In fairness not any v6 petrols. But the fords we use generally suck arse. The jag uses the base of the duratc 30, but that's about it. After that's it's a completely different game. Or so I am told anyway.

RE: New Car - THE_Liam - 30-07-2014

What about the really classy hookers that we discussed? Do not take away my hookers Grant.

RE: New Car - Niall - 30-07-2014

Haha funnily enough, we were under the back seat yesterday sorting the fuel pumps and i found a golf tee under the seats.
Stereotype much!
That said, its a fooking nice car. Stupidly comfy, incredibly refined and spec'd and sounds great on full grunt!

RE: New Car - THE_Liam - 30-07-2014

Can I have a go Grant? Just noticed they are considerably cheaper and better on juice than XJs...

RE: New Car - Grant - 31-07-2014

Course you can mate.

I did look at xj's but discovered the same as you, and hence how I ended up with an s-type lol

Hookers may take some working on unfortunately though lol

RE: New Car - Piggy - 31-07-2014

You need a nice hat for the rear shelf too. And some golf clubs in the boot. Wink

And dont forget some lovely leather driving gloves!!! lol

Cheers pal. Really feeling the need for a Jaaaaaag Smile

RE: New Car - Grant - 31-07-2014

Ah the driving gloves! Major oversight on that list.

Also one of those fold out monopole seat things haha

RE: New Car - THE_Liam - 31-07-2014

You need a trilby. And a butler called Hetherington...

"Hetherington, warm up the Jaaaaag, there's a good fellow!"

RE: New Car - WiNgNuTz - 31-07-2014

Nice mate, when you gonna strip it and track it then? lol

Needs a box of tissues with a decorative cover on the rear shelf too. Wink

RE: New Car - Grant - 31-07-2014

Lol liam. I see you've put some serious thought into this.

Steve, I'm going g to end up spending more on 'accessories' for this car than I have on the actual car lmao

RE: New Car - Pebbles167 - 01-08-2014

You just wait until it starts doing this Grant!

Inexplicable crankshaft damage.

RE: New Car - Grant - 02-08-2014

Haha, yeah don't fancy that!

Thankfully, its a different engine. And round the wrong way :p

RE: New Car - THE_Liam - 02-08-2014

Grown your moustache yet mate?
