RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 25-03-2014 Cheers everyone ![]() (25-03-2014, 06:59 AM)Niall Wrote: Ooh I love the spacers. I've only used basic plasti rings but never thought of shaping something up to make it looks slightly more oem Yeah, I thought I'd try something different. They look and fit better, plus it's something more solid to kick against. I'll get a pic later, I haven't finished yet though, trying to get covers to fit but I lost my Focal ones ![]() (25-03-2014, 07:46 AM)Grant Wrote: Loving the attention to detail curt. Me likely. ![]() RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 25-03-2014 Forgot yet more photos... Positive terminal wasn't very well shall we say, so I replaced it with a spare I had: ![]() ![]() Then the speaker spacer in black: ![]() I also trimmed a universal grill to fit, but I've decided it's too big and I don't like it. At least it stops me from kicking it for the time being though: ![]() RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Tom - 25-03-2014 I swear every positive battery terminal on a 306 look like that! RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 29-03-2014 Few things done on this. First up was a diesel leak, which seems to have been solved by new leak offs. Also changed the thermostat, although it had just been done... But it was apparently a cheap shit one. Then I needed to do something with the expansion bottle, as the cable ties weren't really cutting it. It has a phase 2 rad so there was nowhere to mount the bracket, so with a lot of adjustment with a Dremel: ![]() ![]() (Plus a lot more after this and some holes drilled) ![]() More secure at least. Now just need to stop my airbox from being cable tied in... Speaking of air, spot the difference: ![]() Not just the disgusting-ness of the old one, then new one is completely wrong... So I now have the correct one to be fitted tomorrow. RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - puglove - 29-03-2014 Another thread iv totaly missed (need to start coming on again more lol) good to see you in a 306 again curt ![]() ![]() RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 30-03-2014 Cheers Jamie, although the Vag crap will most definitely be back this season. This one looks more like it: [attachment=14819] Hopefully something more interesting happening soon. RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Tom - 30-03-2014 An air filter? Really? RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 30-03-2014 Yes, really. RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - ginge191 - 30-03-2014 Love this! Love the wheels but can't help thinking it needs a slightly lower profile? Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - devils_fuel - 30-03-2014 Ah ha found it ! That's very tidy curt ![]() RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 31-03-2014 Cheers ![]() Nah, basically brand new RS2s and 50 profile is fine with me. RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 02-04-2014 [attachment=14925] Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - devils_fuel - 02-04-2014 Off the mx5? RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Matt - 02-04-2014 facedesk RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 02-04-2014 They were on the Eunos, yeah. Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - devils_fuel - 02-04-2014 Ah ha RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - silverzx - 03-04-2014 So why you using a standard air box then mate..? That standard induction/inlet pipe really needs to go! ![]() RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 08-04-2014 (03-04-2014, 06:34 PM)silverzx Wrote: So why you using a standard air box then mate..? Because it's just a cheap runaround... I don't really care about power. As long as the air filter works, it's good enough for me. I don't see the point in a cone filter on a diesel, although I have plenty sitting around if I change my mind. So as is quite obvious by now, I've painted the wheels. So here's my £18 refurb. So first of all was to key up the paint. Luckily they're in pretty good condition paint wise, being fairly new. Then I had to knock the plastic "bolts" out with a punch, as it was necessary to mask: ![]() For masking up, I highly recommend fine edge tape. Not only does it give a nice line, as it says, it's very pliable, allowing to follow the curve of the wheel with ease: ![]() Brilliant stuff. So then, primer (after a sand): ![]() Puuurple: ![]() This one shows the metallic pretty well: ![]() My car was looking pretty strange half way through ![]() ![]() Then set about the very fun (not) job of sanding down the "bolts" to spray them up: ![]() ![]() Did the centre caps the same, a) because I didn't like them and b) because I didn't have enough purple left: ![]() Made a "fake bolt re-fitterer" to try and not damage them when tapping them back home: ![]() The result: ![]() ![]() ![]() The finish is better than the factory one, so can't be too bad. I've already decided I don't like the centre caps, so working on something for that. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Apologies for the filthy car, I will try and get some clean ones soon. RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Grant - 08-04-2014 Curt.... THEY LOOK f*cking PORN Epic work mate ![]() RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Niall - 08-04-2014 (08-04-2014, 06:32 PM)Grant Wrote: Curt.... I take my hat off to you sir RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - 1616six - 08-04-2014 I love it but I can't work out if the tyre profile is too big, the car isn't low enough.. Or a combination of both?! Jealous though. My dad had a brand new white 3dr dturbo in 1996 & I've always wanted one. Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - devils_fuel - 08-04-2014 I kinda prefer the other wheels if I'm honest mate, them in purple..[HEAVY BLACK HEART]️ RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Curt - 08-04-2014 (08-04-2014, 06:32 PM)Grant Wrote: Curt.... Or a combination of both?! Well the tyres aren't getting changed, as I said before, they're basically new and 195/50s are ideal for me. It's probably not low "enough" for most, and it's certainly higher than my cars are usually. But, it's ridiculously comfy how it is and I don't think it looks bad, so it'll do. They're not going back on and I'm definitely not painting them any time soon ![]() Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - devils_fuel - 08-04-2014 My bad curt, it's the same wheels just different colour lol They looked different in the other colour ![]() RE: Bianca phase 1 Dturbo - Poodle - 08-04-2014 Got to agree with JJ dude, something not quite right about them on the 306 there... Still look awesome though!
