NACA?!

I been looking for something like it for ages but can only find stupid over the top cheap crappy ones!

did you ever have any water ingress issues?!

NACA is a type of depression air vent, it disturbs the flow of air over the panel and draws a channel in down the vent, works much better than the usual bellmouthed air feed.

Water ingress was never an issue, there's a bit of the vent missing that angles downwards so you never really get water into it, but drilled a couple of holes in the bottom of the airbox to allow what did enter to drain. Would be such a small amount of water though that it wouldn't really cause any issues.

Er, two. Very very quickly blew over them, didn't even clean them first lmao

RE: Commywagon - MCH - 05-10-2013

hahaha ace! like the arches and a couple other features but would prefer a cleaner less rat look personally...

RE: Commywagon - Piggy - 05-10-2013

this needs a 2.5 to be a true wagon/tank

RE: Commywagon - Poodle - 06-10-2013

Naca ducts don't work any better in terms of air drawn in, the whole point of them is to do the same job as a normal bulge/vent without creating more drag, ie any disturbance in the airflow over the panel. Incidentally, in hacking it up like that it's been rendered completely useless. lol

Meh tbh, you're losing your touch love. :p

RE: Commywagon - Craigus - 06-10-2013

Have you got another project. Haven't been online for a while and just seen this on Facebook.

RE: Commywagon - cwspellowe - 20-10-2013

Yeah not been online because i've more important things going on at the minute. Plans for something RWD and comfy too, Peugeots are fun and all that but they're a bit plasticky and there's no getting away from the fact they're FWD.

Haven't given it much thought tbh, if I get a decent offer i'll take it and have a think what I want to do next. No point looking for motors til i know what my budget is though Smile

Bmw and diesel Wink

I've been looking at something more luxurious but still a diesel and thinking of bmw 320d or 330d or a Audi a3 2.0 tdi FWD or QUATTRO
