"European Union Directive 2008/89/EC requires all passenger cars and small delivery vans first type approved on or after 7 February 2011 in the EU to come equipped with daytime running lights." RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - lolsteve - 28-08-2013 Unsure on it, just looks like most other cars on the age RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - C.A.R. - 28-08-2013 (28-08-2013, 06:40 AM)Niall Wrote: Yes but nothing there says they have to be led. Exactly, some nice yellow-y sidelight bulbs would suffice without looking f*cking ridiculous. That rear end shot is equally terrible IMO. Bulbous, un-imaginitive and silly exhaust pipe trim = sh*t. RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - procta - 28-08-2013 about time pug got another good hatch out, maybe this one could be for the WTCC, as citron has got a works team in next year. RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - Poodle - 28-08-2013 Unfortunately, if it does come out, it'll be 6 inches narrower and exactly 70% more bulbous and fugly. :/ RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - pugjohn306 - 28-08-2013 (28-08-2013, 08:49 AM)lolsteve Wrote: Unsure on it, just looks like most other cars on the age true to that lol might aswell not stick a pug badge on it at it looks like every other car. RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - ginge191 - 28-08-2013 270bhp from a 1.6?! i'm all over that! They dont have to be! Probably due to the extended lifespan and massively reduced energy consumption of LED's compared to halogen bulbs. DRL's are nothing new. Volvos have pretty much always had them. Bit pointless over here as we actually have daylight as opposed to some Scandanavian countries that spend a lot of their time in darkness. Yeah there are benefits to them (hence why some manufacturers are also starting to use LED Headlights now!) but i think they are now more of a style thing since audi started with them big LED swirls in their headlights a few years back. Just getting tacky now. Ive got normal bulb DRLs on my Kia and i think they look much better than the higher spec models with the LED ones. Also, whos realised yet you can set the side lights in a 306 to be DRLs? Cant remember how now but i do remember reading it on AD. RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - cwspellowe - 28-08-2013 Easy, wire them to a switched 12v. RE: Peugeot 308 R concept - James92 - 29-08-2013 Looks pretty nice |
