RE: stage 2mapping questions - Midnightclub - 10-05-2013 Fair enough then, be interesting to see how long yours lasts Re: RE: stage 2mapping questions - vlj - 10-05-2013 (10-05-2013, 01:46 PM)Midnightclub Wrote: Is that a full fat map or torque limited? it will hold the power but depending on how you drive will depend on how long it holds for Mine slipped on a stage one.. But not stage 2, only happened once going up a rather large hill RE: stage 2mapping questions - Midnightclub - 10-05-2013 The clamping force of the clutch gets stronger up to a point until it's completely screwed.. sometimes it can just bed back in though, wait and see how it goes i guess.. Providing you aren't nailing it in high gears from like 2k then it should last ages tbh stage 2mapping questions - callumcull - 10-05-2013 Heh, we'll see. I've had this clutch for around 3000 miles, and only had a stage 2 on it for about 500, so we'll see. I'll sure enough let you guys know if it fails. RE: stage 2mapping questions - Tom - 10-05-2013 Mechanical sympathy, makes everything last longer ![]() RE: stage 2mapping questions - Jonny81191 - 10-05-2013 (10-05-2013, 09:14 PM)Tom Wrote: Mechanical sympathy, makes everything last longer It's boring as hell though.... You deserve a warning for using YOLO RE: stage 2mapping questions - cwspellowe - 10-05-2013 ![]() YOLO'd out my f*cking nut. Strato-diving? Triple backflips? Alligator wrestling? Bitch please. See how many turbines you can wedge in one exhaust, that's YOLO RE: stage 2mapping questions - Jonny81191 - 10-05-2013 Bitch please. How many heads can you blow up? In europe? Oh. Wait. You wouldn't even get there. ![]() RE: stage 2mapping questions - cwspellowe - 10-05-2013 Lol, my car has done more miles than you recently. Even with chronic boost leaks and an exhaust full of spare parts it still refuses to break. RE: stage 2mapping questions - Jonny81191 - 10-05-2013 Still.. Mine's faster.. stage 2mapping questions - callumcull - 29-05-2013 Yep, my clutch started to slip last night :/ RE: stage 2mapping questions - Dum-Dum - 29-05-2013 Just wondering is yours as quick as other stage 2 cars and what exhaust do you have? Stage 2 should ra*e a standard clutch with a good map and a car running right. I even managed to slip a brand new DT set up. stage 2mapping questions - callumcull - 29-05-2013 It's Steve's stage 2, and standard exhaust without a cat. The only other mods are 072 injectors, which I've noticed a huge difference over the 044! It goes like a bloody rocket, but I need something that will hold. Hopefully buying a 6 next month, so I'll see what's what then! What clutch worked for you? RE: stage 2mapping questions - Dum-Dum - 29-05-2013 A better map and a straight through back bow would probably be worth 15bhp stage 2mapping questions - callumcull - 29-05-2013 A straight back is on the cards soon! Should probably sort the clutch beforehand, right? RE: stage 2mapping questions - Poodle - 30-05-2013 Dumdum you could ra*e a clutch with a 1.1 TU engine. ![]() RE: stage 2mapping questions - Dum-Dum - 30-05-2013 Definately do the clutch first, when we did a straight through back box on my estate after it was stage 2'd the SG showed it added 8bhp which BIM was 10% out is probably actually 9bhp stage 2mapping questions - callumcull - 30-05-2013 Aye I'll need to! I still have a newish LuK one, can I be tight and just add a new pressure plate or something cheap to hold the power? RE: stage 2mapping questions - Dum-Dum - 31-05-2013 You could add a new friction plate to try and hold the power then you have either the massive f*ck on of either paying someone else to fit a new clutch yet again or having the box off yourself again. You wanna make sure whatever you stick in is gonna wort first time. stage 2mapping questions - callumcull - 31-05-2013 Paying someone to do it as my mate is a mechanic, he's getting a bit sick of working on my car with me after fitting the cooler. Says there's not enough space in the engine bay. To be fair, I like working with tight spaces ![]() So a pressure plate would do it? Paying someone to it isn't much of an issue* Can't talk and type, fml RE: stage 2mapping questions - ADV_93 - 31-05-2013 My mate has had a panel filter, straight through exhaust, fmic and a map and his HDi will stick/beat anything under a Focus ST/Astra VXR. Not bad to say it's only kicking about 140 bhp RE: stage 2mapping questions - Midnightclub - 31-05-2013 ![]() RE: stage 2mapping questions - Dum-Dum - 31-05-2013 (31-05-2013, 09:57 AM)ADV_93 Wrote: My mate has had a panel filter, straight through exhaust, fmic and a map and his HDi will stick/beat anything under a Focus ST/Astra VXR. Not bad to say it's only kicking about 140 bhp Thats nice. Some of us build brutal HDis that run nearly 170bhp on standard turbos, pumps and injectors and will out accelerate an integra type r. Why not get your mate to sign up and well see if we can find him enough power to need an updated clutch. RE: stage 2mapping questions - Poodle - 31-05-2013 Only able to chase st's? Wants to sort that out, should be able to do porsches and stuff well easy brah. stage 2mapping questions - callumcull - 31-05-2013 I want insane power! ![]() RE: stage 2mapping questions - vento85 - 03-06-2013 out accelerate an integra type r, I like the sound of that! ![]() |
