Are you changing the wheels? RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 21-02-2013 (21-02-2013, 09:20 PM)Hdiestate Wrote: Live this sedan. Are you changing the wheels? i havnt decided what would look good on it yet wheelwise, been considering getting the berlingo steels banded..... tried in the 405 leather seats, yes they fit but i didnt like them once they were in, bases are too wide at the front so they squeak on the door pocket and the 405 frames are slightly different to 306 seats meaning you sit at a slight angle. annoying but ohwell, half leathers it is..............for now RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 23-02-2013 bad news, phase 1 bonnet wont fit, just balances on top. off to the scrappy it is then for some phase 3 rear light clusters RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 23-02-2013 ^^^^ oh crap... how bad does it not fit?! weird that there is a ph1 with a 2.1 with ph1 bonnet though?? I may go for bonnet spacers as I want to keep the ph1 look RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 23-02-2013 the engine sits pretty high up but i believe it has xud9 mounts so that could possibly have something to do with it? this picture is taken with the camera level with the top of the wing and you can see the engine has a fair bit of poke RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 23-02-2013 yeah...the xud9 interwarmer sits quite high though...hmmm try and find that blue 3dr ph1 with the 2.1 to investigate found him... http://www.306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-8606.html time to PM! RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Dum-Dum - 23-02-2013 The 2.1 Engine is alot bigger, the block is taller to accommodate the extra stroke and the inlet manifold is actually pretty wide but the big increase is the size of that 3 valve single cam head that is alot bigger than an XUD9 head. RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 23-02-2013 its just pretty convenient that the bulge in a phase 3 bonnet is almost exactly the right height for the 2.1 its like it was meant to be RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 23-02-2013 lol! If you look at that thread though...it has a engine bay shot...and its all there...but obviously clears the ph1 bonnet... I have PM'd him asking about mounts RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 23-02-2013 yeah i checked that other 2.1 out, it looks alot lower than it does in the sedan. just see how long it takes to get a reply RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 23-02-2013 fitted a 206 gti180 ally gear knob, looks awesome but it may end up in the hatch RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 16-03-2013 Seeing as a phase 1 front is out of the question now due to the engine height, I've now updated the back to match the phase 3 front end. Didn't plan it, just saw a phase 3 sedan at the scrappy this morning and bought the rear light clusters. Looks good I reckon RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 18-03-2013 I think its about time the smoothing process began, get everything color coded, black mask the lights, get it low and stanced then get the steels banded. see how it stands then RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Frosty - 18-03-2013 Sounds like a good plan to me RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 18-03-2013 bout time RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 18-03-2013 (18-03-2013, 08:00 PM)Piggy1987 Wrote: bout time ssssshhhhhhh i know haha oh and perhaps the most important modification that i need to do asap, get leccy windows, its doing my head in with all this winding nonsense RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 18-03-2013 bout time you got a decent turbo on that 2.1 aswell so I know what potential it has RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 18-03-2013 (18-03-2013, 08:02 PM)Piggy1987 Wrote: bout time you got a decent turbo on that 2.1 aswell so I know what potential it has what do you reckon? another truck turbo build? RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 18-03-2013 i have noticed that the 2.1 lump has alot of free space down the side where the battery is, relocate that and there would be a decent amount of room for a pretty rude gearbox mounted monstrosity :p RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 18-03-2013 I got a GT2056s at the mo for mine...fits nice due to the original fitting on a Iveco... but not sure to sell on and save for a TD2503v.......but MEGA rare RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 18-03-2013 (18-03-2013, 08:09 PM)Piggy1987 Wrote: I got a GT2056s at the mo for mine...fits nice due to the original fitting on a Iveco... im thinking a fair bit bigger than either of those. 2.1 would be better suited to something like an hx40 maybe? RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 18-03-2013 they not as revvy as the 1.9s though...so need early spool time RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 18-03-2013 (18-03-2013, 08:26 PM)Piggy1987 Wrote: they not as revvy as the 1.9s though...so need early spool time with the gov mod it happily revs to 4.5k which coincidentally is the same powerband as my 1.9 at the moment. i think the 2.1 would really benefit from an 11mm pump to really liven the turbo up RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 18-03-2013 Yeah Im fitting a 11mm from the off.... Im still keeping my eye out for a reasonably priced td2503v....they only were fitted to the 2.4jtd alfas for a year or so... still needing a 2.1 exhaust manifold which has the turbo flange pointing down! RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - ozonehostile - 18-03-2013 ive been trawling scrapyards for xud11's but have yet to come across one. il keep searching for the illusive citroen xm RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Piggy - 18-03-2013 those manifolds I have found on other 2.1s...not just the xm...hit and miss it seems...the ones (online) I have found dont want to sell seperate to the engine though annoyingly RE: 2.1 Bianca sedan. under new management - Ed Doe - 18-03-2013 Hx40 you say. You checked the compressor map for those? I think it's a tiiiiiny but oversized for your application. Like probably 3times...
