RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - fgrc76 - 05-04-2015 There is a reserve on it which it won't reach, but we'll see what the highest bidder offers n go from there As you can see it's been on for less than a hour, and someone has put in a bid already RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - Pete - 05-04-2015 Drive past this regular as the owner works 2 mins down the road from my house. RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - MisterGTR - 06-04-2015 Coming back from lake Windermere I saw what looked like a minted white 309gti with red white and blue sticker on grill. I know there is a maximum age to bring a new one into service, I'm assuming there must be a maximum age for one before it has to retire? EDIT: A quick Google shows 'usually' a vehicle of no more than 3-5years old can be put into service, and once they are 7-8yrs IN service, they don't renew the taxi license.. 'usually' being the key word though. RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - r3k1355 - 08-04-2015 (14-03-2015, 07:42 AM)Orta Wrote: Nah every panel is different to a standard escort. The cosworth was built on the sierra body frame, the car itself is bigger than a standard escort. Hence all different panels. Google it mate ![]() RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - r3k1355 - 08-04-2015 or you could look at the link and get the joke in the first place???? I haven't seen a Escort cosworth tbh, so I wouldn't know, I was told the floor pan is a sierra floor pan that was welded in to the shell. But the floors were known to rot due to the welding or something? Seen a citroen camper c15 today and a old Toyota corolla hatch back on a L plate. RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - procta - 09-04-2015 past a hillman avenger today, very rare sight to see anything with the word Hillman! RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - Seb_Ryan - 09-04-2015 Seen a nissan bluebird today with some old guy driving it RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - bigcheez2k3 - 09-04-2015 Saw a Lancia Delta, bright yellow, LHD in Knightsbridge tonight <3 I have no idea about them so not sure if it was an Integrale, there was a badge on the back that said Evolution. RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - chylledapps - 10-04-2015 These used to be all over the place, my old man had them as company cars http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201504022291446/sort/default/channel/cars/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew/postcode/sw170qw/price-from/1000/quantity-of-doors/5/radius/45/page/6/body-type/hatchback/price-to/2000/usedcars/transmission/automatic?logcode=p RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - procta - 10-04-2015 fuckin hell a ford Granada! now that's while since I saw one of those! my lecture had two of them years ago. Got to say the saab 900 turbo was a tasty bit of kit in the 90s! The mk2 cav is proper rare! i read in a mag some years ago, that some of the bits for those are extinct! The cabby ones, the replacement hoods have to be made up! Its sad really as i think the mk2 cav is one of the lost Vauxhalls now of that era. The nova, the astra all seemed to have survived, but not the cav for some reason! It was a popular motor back in the early 90s! here is a one at croft, a salon version. ![]() RE: Rare cars you dont see anymore, - 1616six - 12-04-2015 Saw a Granada yesterday. A guy in my village has two of the saabs pictured above, a blue and a red one. Same guy also has a mk1 fiesta soft top which I've never seen before so not sure if it's had a chop. Another chap has a K reg Orion with blue LED sidelights & a huge exhaust..
