Got a few good welds in the gap, then piled on some more for extra support!

Boosting like a hero now.

What you boosting now? Feel any faster?

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - ozonehostile - 07-01-2014

Haha its about time you pikey!

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 07-01-2014

Boost gauge got no light so dont know yet, i lit up first second and third on a dry road with someone in the car, its alot faster to be fair!

Also went down newquay to check out the massive waves tonight, wernt massive but car got sprayed a bit so i stopped in the jetwash on the way home. Had an extra quid so thought lets wash the engine bay out... And it actually went swimmingly, gave her a bloody good blasting and the only thing that didnt work after was the rad fan. I sure i've just drenched the relay or something. Easily sorted Smile

Something to do this morning Smile

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - mr_fish - 08-01-2014

make your own throttle cable?

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 08-01-2014

Well i just bought a new cable for a 205 on ebay and got this. Aslong as it doesnt stick it'll be better than my current one! Only cost 11quid so i can hardly go wrong :p

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 08-01-2014

Throttle cable is amazing, so much better to drive now And also stripped the transit pump.

Cambelt is here, might make a start on the 11mm in a minute.

Then into the garage to fit cambelt and 11mm, and im also going to gut the backbox because noise is fun.

Thanks Craig, its coming on.

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Frosty - 10-01-2014

So is it a spare bosch pump you had that you are doing the 11mm on?

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 10-01-2014

Yeah, so if the 11mm is successful i could reseal the 9mm or make another 11mm for someone to make my money back well some of it :p

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 11-01-2014

Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Frosty - 11-01-2014

When's it getting bolted on?

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 11-01-2014

After its had a look over, with my snazzy new gates cambelt kit, to replace my current squeaky tensioner Sad

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Jimbo - 11-01-2014

Why you having someone look over it? There not gonna take it to bits again surely

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 11-01-2014

To check its ok. Nothing went wrong or badly im pretty confident its ok, im just lucky enough to have our resident farmer derv hero close by that can fling the levers or do his jedi mind trick to say yep its great. Its the first one i've done and i use my car daily so i dont want to do the cambelt fit the pump and find out it doesnt work thats all.

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - c.gerrard - 11-01-2014

YOU'VE PUT THE THROTTLE ARM ON UPSIDE DOWN!!!!!!!

Tongue

I hate the thought of having to rebuild a pump from that stage lol

Good job.

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Craigus - 11-01-2014

Good effort!

And people say common rail is complicated! Confused
