With rev gauge you are special Wink

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 31-12-2013

Nah Frosty i was really bothered lol :p

Ok went for a drive and the gauge is only reaching like 20psi and we're pulling hard. Im confused.

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Chris_90 - 31-12-2013

You need more boost and fuel Big Grin

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 31-12-2013

I cant get anymore fuel, idles to high. And i can light up 3rd gear :/

You're very special with your Oem rev counter haha.

Don't leave your car unlocked around any other 205 owners

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 31-12-2013

On a 9mm would say something not right there........ Oh you still got wastegate tho? Not to sure tbh no smoke on boost?

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 31-12-2013

It does coal a bit on flat out but not like loads just a decent haze, im pretty sure thats the wastegate opening, but im properly hounding along at that point. If that gauge is accurate i got alot more fun to have yet lol!

get 11mm sorted and some more boost and fuel will be even more fun, would like to see what power its at with the wastegate still on.

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 31-12-2013

The actuator isnt actually on, it fell off lol. The wastegate is being held shut with a cable tie.

Ooooooo Well i would look to see if your cable tie is still holding cos with a maxed out pump and a solid waste gate should be able to make 40psi+ as a few been to that pressure on here with 9mm

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 31-12-2013

The cable tie is holding sort of, i think its opening on full chat a bit:/

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - padge - 01-01-2014

ive never seen anyone hit 40+psi on a 9mm lol.

Well it was you I was thinking of wasn't you on a 9mm? My mistake Undecided

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Piggy - 01-01-2014

Never seen 40psi on a cable tie

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 01-01-2014

I know it needs welding but im confident its holding until im going like f*ck because it coals a bit foot flat and theres a certain point where the harder i push the pedal it just coals more and i dont speed up but thats right at the bottom of the pedal :/

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - padge - 01-01-2014

no chris, welded gate and 11mm, 40psi, 800rpm idle Smile

Oooooo i see. My mistake.......

Anyway all the more reason to get it welded tom and 11mm built/on, stop fannying around Wink

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Jimbo - 01-01-2014

What has been done so far to decrease idle speed tom?

Obviously the lever on back of pump.
has the max throttle stop and return lever been removed?
Then grind some metal off back of the throttle lever where it sits against the throttle stop

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Piggy - 01-01-2014

or twist it round a spline...

but if its coaling like hell when your foot is flat down when on boost then that amazing cable tie isnt doing the job...

only needs to stretch a mm or so to drop the psi

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 04-01-2014

So, i noticed earlier im missing a stud on the inlet manifold yay. I also done a professional repair to the rear bumper, one of the clips broke so i drilled a little hole and stuck a cable tie through it. Come on when do you ever take a back bumper off? And i got some rear stiffness issues, giggidy :p

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Craigus - 04-01-2014

Is eveything on this held on with cable ties? Wink

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - mikey b - 04-01-2014

Nothing wrong with a good old cable tie

RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! Win. - Tom - 04-01-2014

That cable tie holding the bumper on will still be there the day this car dies, that i can assure you :p
