I basically ran the power from the light on the bottom of the door around the door loom and up the A pillar, and tapped into the interior lighting circuit by the rear view mirror. Yes, it's a long ass piece of wire!

Definitely the dt, boost wins hands down. The 1.4 did sound nice, but that was it...Didn't go anywhere very quickly.
Although I should be receiving an exhaust today or tomorrow courtesy of danny2009, which should make the dt sound a bit better.

What car is the back box originally from? Here's mine from a 6, fitted with a straight through pipe.
I think this is 4 inch...maybe more but burbles well on tick-over

Haha, cheers mate, yeah it was a bit tractor like, but i still reckon the back needs to come up a touch to match the front. Not keen on the idea of lowering the front any more, as i scrape the bumper in quite a few places already.
I'm hoping it does turn up tomorrow, can't wait to get it fitted and get shot of the standard system thats full of holes! Should sound much better with a straight through as well.

Thanks to Danny2009 for sending me this, and NO thanks to citylink for taking 4 days to make a "next day" delivery, but i got the new exhaust on today, its basically straight through, and sounds a bit farty on tickover, but i'm such a sucker for that turbo whistle.

Was obviously dark by the time i got finished, had issues with one of the exhaust hangers not quite reaching the bracket, and i made the cutout on the bumper a bit wonky, but it'll do for now.
The whole system is heaving with oil though (donor car had shot turbo seals), and the back of the car already has a fine mist over it, how long should i expect it to take to clear out, any ideas guys?Will try and get some better pics tomorrow anyway, but yeah.....PROGRESS!

I found with a straight through you will get more of a residue on the back as theres nothing catching it all on the way through...be a bit smokier too I would think!

Yeah, well I'm expecting the standard issue coal all over the boot, but as it stands, it's getting covered in the oil that's coated the inside of the pipework.
Haven't really had chance to give it a good run yet, but it did feel a bit pokier and more responsive on the way home.
As for the sound, I think it might be a touch too loud for me, might see what it's like with the standard mid box section in before I scrap it. Maybe.

Yeah, ive got the ph1 pipe at the front, and straight through from there. As i say, before i get rid of the old system, i might put the mid section with the box in, see what it sounds like. Might as well while ive still got it!

Mate, as I always say...you can't help growing old, but no one can make you grow up!
Cheers though, she's definitely getting there now, just need to sort some decent wheels out, get the beam from grant fitted (and set at a decent height), and a ph3 rear bumper, then the exterior is basically there.

God thats a huge variation in the diablo between the ph2 & 3 on your sig. didnt realize they were that different, still i like the cabby look rather than the fully colour coded ph3

Really? Might just be the photo tbh, doesn't look that different irl. But yeah, the "cabby" look, as you put it, is what I was going for. I really like the shape of the ph3 bumpers, but the black strips have grown on me since getting the dt. Looks even better now I've got a set of crystal fogs in as well.
