Right well over the weekend it was decided that my car was going primer white instead of rollered. After alot of sanding etc got one wing painted at the camping meet. But after some research I've got the primer is pourus and let's moisture in and will rust the panels. So looks like I'm going to have to buy Matt white cans from somewhere or flat black the roller job to a smooth finish instead.

Matt, Pompeymark used spray paint from monster colours to do his matt blue. Almost all their paint is matte and you can buy boxes of 40 odd cans at a time.

Well once it's all Matt white properly it's having puple wheels. In the engine bay having purple strut brace, purple gti intake and purple gti cam covers.
Long term I've got an engine rebuild planned. But that won't happen till late this year.

6.98 a can for plastikote, then three for two, then 20% off, so for three cans its 11.18 I think. 400ml cans

That's awesome, I'm thinking
1 x for each wing
2 x bonnet
2 x for doors and rear quarters
1 x tailgate
2 x for bumpers.
So thats 9 which is £33.54
Which is awesome. Baring in mind that I already have a white base coat and this will just be a top coat

While rollers it look ok IMO. But now it's been sanded odd bits of moonstone poking through and pink bits everywhere, it looks pants. Need finishing in next two weeks lol
