RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Piggy - 22-11-2013 just an idea...one I am going to try...is using two 'Y' piece connectors and using two inline 6mm fuel filters. thus giving 12mm of fuel filter flow RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - silverzx - 22-11-2013 (22-11-2013, 12:11 PM)Piggy Wrote: just an idea...one I am going to try...is using two 'Y' piece connectors and using two inline 6mm fuel filters. thus giving 12mm of fuel filter flow Mmm.. Your doubling the amount of space it has to fill/flow through. I can see the benefit to two filters, but not sure about splitting a single fuel line into two, then back to one. Not sure if its a good idea in practice? Explain your logic. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 22-11-2013 See I CBA with the hassle of 2 fuel filters and splitters and that. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 23-11-2013 ![]() Changed some clock bulbs today, can see my temp and speed, so now I know if I doing 130 or 140! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - silverzx - 23-11-2013 Mmmm.... 205... RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 23-11-2013 ![]() Mmmmm rust. Que sandpaper and kurust. ![]() Might stick some primer or something on it later just to slow it down a bit more. Either way it'll need cutting out before mot. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - silverzx - 23-11-2013 I have problems in exactly the same area (beneath rear bench) but mine looks a lot worse! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - strictly_perv - 24-11-2013 That will pass the MOT as it's not structural but you cannot have the seats in RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - kernow_joe - 24-11-2013 That's nothing, you should see mine Thought I'd go take a picture as I was outside ![]() You can see the floor through there ![]() That is supposed to be brake pipe mount.... RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 24-11-2013 Hmm I always thought because its next to a seat belt mounting point it would need to be sorted :/ RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - kernow_joe - 24-11-2013 Not if you have no seats in the back then there's no need for rear seat belts RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - strictly_perv - 24-11-2013 It's an advisory on a MOT 2 years ago, which I removed the seats to get it through and never got round to welding it up. But it will pass. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - bobertmate - 24-11-2013 Probably my favourite 205 ever, was sick when max had it, good to see it still about and getting love! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 25-11-2013 Just done a quick oil and filter change. Sounding alot better now ![]() RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 26-11-2013 Transit pump is here, will pull that apart later. Also got a price for new nozzles 19quid plus the vat, each. So basically 91quid for a set of 4. Can get them slightly cheaper on ebay but i was hoping for 40/50quid a set not twice that! Another bullied purchase for me :-P Think i gave £70 ish for mine from electro diesel(?) RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 28-11-2013 Gearbox is shot. Got a light grinding crunching in all gears except 3rd :/ and when the engines just ticking over it sounds f*cked! Time for hdi box I think! If anyone has one cheap please let me know. Preferably in Cornwall. Only saying this here because I'm restricted with my internet ATM! (Long story) RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 29-11-2013 Box is coming off tomorrow after work, see if its the clutch or not, if its not then i'll be getting a hdi box! If the clutch is f*cked then paddle clutch here we come :p RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 30-11-2013 Box is off. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 30-11-2013 Well im in a bit of a shit position now. Plan was to buy a hdi box and skint the shit out of myself and get a second hand paddle clutch aswell just whilst its off. But i realised earlier one of my bottom balljoints is properly wanked. And you cant buy them for the 205, you have to buy the whole arm. Which is f*cking expensive. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - darrenjlobb - 30-11-2013 You can have that paddle for like 75 quid if you want it Tom, im never going to get around to putting this car back together! RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 01-12-2013 I did take one picture the other day. ![]() Whole job was about an hour and a bit long. Yeah then it took another hour to get damn box to touch the floor. Was wedged between the subframe and the rad. Think i'll be taking some of the front off when i put it back. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Tom - 02-12-2013 Well the wallet has had a proper raping this evening, new lower arms and trackrod ends, smart looking gearbox with new seals and a paddle clutch. Alll on the way this week. RE: Joey the boosted 205 racer! - Piggy - 03-12-2013 I gota xud box you can have for free??
