RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Ruan - 24-01-2013 Going well then?! RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 24-01-2013 Yeah, it's got so much potential now! ! ![]() RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Just Sean - 24-01-2013 Can't wait for a video mate!! RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Midnightclub - 24-01-2013 ^^ This! RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Eeyore - 24-01-2013 VIDEO! RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 24-01-2013 Not until I have a MAF ![]() RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Birk - 24-01-2013 I hope your clutch will cope. Oddly enough it seems OK after a couple of weeks sitting still :S RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Birk - 24-01-2013 Haha, Wel let's hope it's going to cope with a new map. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 24-01-2013 I have my doubts.. But we'll see soon enough! RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Just Sean - 24-01-2013 I may have missed or already asked but what clutch you got? RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 24-01-2013 A 4 paddle CG, but it was 2nd hand, and slipped like a biatch. Seems ok now though. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Just Sean - 24-01-2013 My helix 4 paddle is holding strong mate. But it was re plated. That's with stage 2 map so if ures isn't mapped should b alright. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 24-01-2013 We'll see how it goes, can always whip it out and get it re plated if needs be.. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 28-01-2013 Ok so i need to turn the boost down ![]() MAF sensor fitted, go out for a drive, hit 25 psi so quick it was untrue, then the gauge went to 0. Bonnet up and it had blown the gauge pipe out of the inlet elbow ![]() I'll get under it at some point and back off the wastegate a bit, just have to drive gently for now though. And I need a passenger to video, got one today but it's so bad I CBA uploading it. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 30-01-2013 Fitted my new lower brace this evening, backed off the WG arm while I was at it. And managed to bodge my engine cover on over the brace, so it's a stealth brace lol RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Ricky - 30-01-2013 Do you not have any sort of boost controller? RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 30-01-2013 Yeah but it was wound right out and still had too much preload on the arm RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Ricky - 30-01-2013 Ah ok, I got lucky when I bodged my actuator on, my controller works perfectly. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Arron - 31-01-2013 I bet this is powerful once its all mapped up RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 31-01-2013 That's the intention ![]() RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 31-01-2013 Lol. That was fun. Now the boost is turned down its a bit laggier but feck me when it comes on blow Its so much fun now!! RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Just Sean - 31-01-2013 Wanna take me for a spin at rays? RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Ricky - 31-01-2013 What boost you running now? RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - jammapic - 31-01-2013 (31-01-2013, 11:21 AM)Ricky Wrote: What boost you running now? Also interested... Chris used to run 28psi on his, and it was making over 200hp before it exploded. JP RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 31-01-2013 21psi max, but I reckon I over did it backing off the wg, it was picking up super fast before but it's now a bit laggy, there's not much under 3k. good news is that the clutch holds a bit better at that, but I want that early spool up that I know it's capable of. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Poodle - 01-02-2013 Shouldn't be laggier if it's got a boost controller, surely, thought that was half the point of the things: eliminate wg creep..? RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - Jonny81191 - 01-02-2013 I'll take you out in it over the weekend mate. See what you think. RE: My GT20s HDi Estate - jammapic - 01-02-2013 Depends what boost controller? Bleed? Ball and spring? Electronic. Also, remember when you adjust the wastegate arm, you can inadvertently set the wastegate itself so that it either won't open all the way or won't close all the way. That's why I would always say, leave it set stock and adjust the controller to "hide" the signal from the actuator. Until the exhaust pressure builds up enough that it'll blow the wastegate open, so requires more preload... |
