Has anyone got any reccomendations for REAR bulbs?

Basically i have a problem... i'm not happy with my brake lights, there's not much difference in brightness than the sidelights.

I bought some of the halfords (most expensive) bulbs, fast response i think they are, wrappers in the car... But im still not happy!

Anyone used LED's at the back? I mean like these... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-24-LED-CAR-...56418f1eb5

If anyones got input on the ones i linked... Are they brighter? Do you use red or white bulbs in a RED cluster? I fear the white may be a bit blue and not emmit a propper red light. Do you find your light is reduced to a small spot?

I really need to get this sorted, and fit one of those anal 3rd brake lights....
I had these when I had clear light on my old car.

Do they make smd rear bulbs as smd's are brighter... I had coloured ones and they were fine, however weren't much brighter than normal. you can get bulbs lile the above but the leds surround the bulb at about 270°, maybe that would give less of a spot of light...

Id deffiantly look for smd style ones tho...

Something like that would probably be quite good...
Kris the mrs bought a set of those for her car and i found you couldnt actually get them into the light cluster as they were too big to fit through the hole Rolleyes
I had LED in my old hatch and have them in the estate also. Because I painted the lights china blue so the standard bulbs didn't even shine tho

The only problem I had was fitting the wiring back under the cover with the resisters clipped in for the indicators as they are huge

have you got any pcitures of the wiring? and did you make your own or did the resistors come with the bulbs?
I find they give a pink light not a red one
