Hey guys,

Not knowing a great deal about the HDI world, can anyone give me an idea on how much work is involved to change a HDI box? Is there a selection to choose from? Is there any ECU/sensor issues that need to be considered?

I searched for a guide or some clues in the forum but found nowt.

Cheers

as far as I can remember hdi gearbox is a hdi gearbox, nothing fancy to worry about all plug and play.

absolute pain swapping gearboxs in situ though, did one on my sisters focus last weekend my arms were sore! (not a 306 but same difference)

some sort of lift would have made the job a lot easier
Darren's done a guide for the XUD box, i understand it's almost the same for an HDi. Toms306 has done a guide for a clutch change, so he should be able to tell you about taking the box off.
Cheers guys for the info.

Had a chance to buy a China DTub but the G/box was broken and wondered how much to offer him taking into account what it'll cost in parts and how much grief it might be.
Hdi box was fairly easy tbh. I was expecting worse but I also had a garage with pit.
(Getting it to start after is the pita!)

What did you do to it?!
