Right I have the top mounts that are supposedly for a 306 direct fit compbrake say!! Bullshit are they I know you are supposed to elongate one of the holes but even so they are f*cking miles out!!! HELP

Ha ha no as I was going to burn the f*cking thing so I put the old struts back in lol, doing a trackway next fri and soo wanted these fitted getting pissed off with em now, can't even fit the coilovers with standard top mounts as the cup is different gggggrrrrrrrr

I know when we did grants spoox ones we had to drill a brand new hole, isn't that the same case with the compbrake ones?
i dont mind drilling a hole but i can get any 2 of the threaded holes to line up

My topmounts do exactly the same re: the bolt holes, you can just see it at the 6 o'clock

Jamie, the top cups allow the strut to sit at an angle on the top mount. If you imagine the standard cup (as is in my first picture lying there astrew) on the topmount, only a portion of it will be making contact with the top mount as you are running camber.
With the dished top mounts, imagine them as a lampshade top. The allow the strut to sit directly on the roller bearing. This is the correct way of fitting shocks to E/T's

After you two mentioning this i wouldnt even attempt to fit them with the flat cups, cant be no good for the mount or the coilies,

Yours deffos dont look like the right ones for a 306 though.... mine had holes round the entire perimeter of the units...
