So gonna start one of these to keep me a bit more active.

Had a bit of time to kill (01-09-12) so did this:

Anyone debadged and have a solution to this:



It's like super glue used to hold the '306 HDi' badges... I tried white spirit & methylated spirits and it won't budge...

tar and glue remover will do for the badge bit mate, even if you run to a body shop and just ask for abit in a bottle for a couple of quid, let it soak in and use a credit card or something will soon come off

I'll have a go tomorrow hopefully. Looks shockingly shit right now!!

just fill a small water bottle with some and soak it on with a rag then a card or something a mine or 2 later will be off in no time

Try petrol if the others dont work...

Not if you go mad with it, just a last resort really.

i worked in body shop and tar and glue remover is what we used for things like that and never failed so should be fine

It was a glue of some kind. But was solid, I pretty much had to file it off. Thinking someone took them off then stuck them back on? I dunno. But it was deffo like super glue or something.

Ah well looks sweet now though I must say

Looking good mate, not so sure on the glossy center console, I want to do mine eventually but think a coat of matt lacquer goes down a treat, gives off less glare too.

Guess the way he's done it though is to match the red on badge ect?

The sun is shinning today and I've been driving all over Dorset for work and there hasn't been any glare, no more than the standard silver it was anyway. lol

To match my badges yeah. Same spray can infact.

(03/09/2012) Spent nearly 2 hours washing and polishing as the paints not in great condition. Some TLC needed, here's how she is...



More needed though the picture isn't great at showing it.

A caramel wheel is what the body shops use, i borrowed one and it will take that glue crap of in seconds

It's all gone with sanding but I filled a dent on the strip too. Is all good but thanks.

When I refurb the clones the lion will be red, Scott's sorting me some red 306oc stickers and I've got some red LED's in the interior lights, nice glow of red when they come on at night when I park etc.

Looking smart.. I like the red badges, and i know toy have sorted it now, but i sprayed loads of furnature polish on my badge glue, left it 10 mins and it wiped off lol

I may use all these tips as I've got the 'DTurbo' on the doors to take off yet. Though a little worried as to what I might find underneath glue wise. lol.

Yeah.. give the polish a go mate.. Once you have took the badge off just cover it in furnature polish and then scrub it off.. did all of mine perfectly.

Once i had got the black foam like stuff off the residue left was like superglue yeah.. i used a card, but my missus seemed to do the other side quicker with her nail lol

New numberplates came today. Little red border and no retarded advertising at the bottom...
