Some of you may have seen my thread on .net others may not!

So thought i would put it on here aswell, so here it goes!

Been on here for a while now so it's about time i started a thread,

Making it purely for the fact that means i can get people's opinion's/advice and also will help other people do task's they may need to do.

It's going to be slow going due to fund's and working stupid hour's but i'll get there

List of what i wanted to do as soon as i got the car it is as follow's,

- Spray Alloy's and Colour code lion's - Done
- Sunstrip - Done
- Chalkboard Bonnet for summer use! - Done
- New Front Bumper - Ongoing
- Steering Rack Replacement - Ongoing
- Sort front window tint's - Done
- Sort Passenger side rear window out - Done
- Raise Bonnet - Done
- Black Angel Eye's - Done
- New Interior - Done


Thats most of it but here's a few update's of thing i have done scince getting the car

When i got him!



Said it had been lowered 60mm all round but i personally think it's abit more than that?
Cyclone's sprayed gunmetal grey
Intercooler not connected though!
Rear tinted windows
Chrome Angel Eye's
Half leather interior but not in good condition so swapped off old car!

Firstly 2 days after buying it the driveshaft decided to pop out so had to spend time sorting that out luckily i had my old dturbo to rob parts off so cost me nothing just a few days to sort due to bad weather!



While the car was off road while i sorted the driveshaft out i sprayed the centre console in it! Colour coded.

Then after driving around for a while i had a set of spare cyclone's on the old dturbo so decided to spray my alloys picture's below show how i did it, made some home made newspaper tyre warmer look alike's! P and then got the missus to use a touch up pen to do the lion's which i think she did a pretty good job!

Didn't manage to get picture's of the little bit's i've done

- Sunstrip
- Few sticker's i wanted
- Bonnet Raised
- Re-hung my exhaust
- Colour coded lion on the airbag
- Colour coded inside door handles
- Interior Swap and seriously good valeting! ( Found a pair of scissor's! Very useful )
- Laguna vented Splitter!

How he sits from the front now Opinion's? - the mahussive crack on the bumper



Started doing the rear calipers this weekend although thing's are quite going to plan both disc's were held in with 1 screw but both were not easy to take out as obviously the previous owner had tried to take them out but had ***ked the head up on both screws so had to angle grind both discs off and drill and tap the hole's picture's





Will update tomorrow when i get to look at the calipers again but i reckon its going to need new brake piping both side's and new handbrake cable's both side's.

UPDATE

Found out 1 caliper was seized and the other one was about knackered so managed to get some second hand one's which were in better condition than the other's.

Managed to do the following
- Replaced the rear brake piping due to the other being over tightened by whoever fitted them before.
- Cleaned up and replaced both rear calipers
- Replaced both handbrake cable's
- Fitted new rear Pad's and disc's
- Replaced the handbrake sensor (old one was intermittent)
- Bled all breaks with new brake fluid

Going to get on with the pulley tomorrow and also replacing the mid section on the exhaust as the other was knackered!

Little update sorted my exhaust out after fitting the new mid section it was sitting to the left of the bumper.



So i made up a bracket to sort the problem out and also take some of the weight off of the join aswell



Fitting it.



Finished look's heaps better central in the bumper recess.



Also me and my brother started sanding the bonnet and fillering the dint's ready for the chalkboard paint also taken the bonnet badge to pieces ready for spraying!

Done a few more bits to him bumped into kent on sunday at loom's scrapyard managed to get myself rear eleccy windows and a few other bits and pieces for the pricely some of £20 fitted them sunday so all electric windows now also Fuel Pressure Regulator has been replaced with a brand new one to try and resolve the idling issues but i'm thinking its going to be a leak of test a few pictures to go with the post

So made some number plate holders at work and they look spot on decided to wire a led up the lower writing what do you guys think!!

Break not pressed down!

Break peddle pressed!


Also bought some roof racks as i think they just add a little difference to the car cost me a nice price of £10 from a nice chap in derby!



Finally got round to fitting the forum sticker although the car needs a wash so i apologise about the dirt!


And then pictures of me fitting the rear plate holder decided to keep the front one i made as a spare and just use the plate holder for the rear!!

UPDATE few pictures of the interior after all the hard work my missus did to get these done for when i was free at the weekend!
She has a few pictures on her phone of when she was doing it which i will upload as soon as she puts them onto her laptop!!

right well not alot has happened started painting my spare rear calipers and taking the A/C out did a service, coolant change and now doing the front disc's and pads same situation as the rear disc's though i have 2 rounded heads.

will update later today see how progress goes a few pictures of yesterday!

why have you got a gti6 badge on the back? looks good dude id say the front needs to come down around 20mm

fronts low enough local halfords carpark i can hear the subframe hit the speedbump!

I know people won't believe me but it was on it when i got it, and i haven't yet mustered up the minerals to attempt to take it off just incase it takes some of the paintwork with it!!!!

Ahhhh gotcha just a tad confused lol its understable about the lows though dude foes look good what happens to the fmic?

i want to get rid of It along with the other sticker's it's just finding the best way and having the ball's to do It and the intercooler was just bodged in the bumper It wasn't connected when i got It so selling It as i only plan to do stage 1

Not keen on the bonnet lifters but apart from that top work! And well put together :-)

Cheers! Fixing all the niggly problems with it first then Stage 1 Decat keep it at that really

I know not to everyone's taste but i like it, i have had a few people tell me when i pull up that my bonnets not shut i get out to check it and turns out its because its raised thanks pal!

eventful week got the clutch changed pretty easy considering i was a clutch changing virgin! haha
