Thinking of selling my cat-back mongoose exhaust as I do quite like the standard system, and I'd like to go back to the standard exhaust (albeit with win-pipe). I'd just like to put a thread up to see if anyone is interested at the moment so I know whether I should start looking for a standard exhaust.

It's cat-back with a 3 inch tip, which fits very nicely in the recess in the bumper, and sounds amazing on full throttle when you come on cam. It'll easily get pops and bangs, Niall knows this first hand after being behind me the other day (giggidy), though some of that may be the result of the decat.

It's appears to have only done a few thousand miles (I know I've done a few thousand in it, and was told it had only done a few hundred miles, which I'd say is true as it hadn't even coked up properly when I bought it) and is in great condition, so I think £200 wouldn't unreasonable. I'd also consider a standard GTi-6 exhaust (from the cat back) plus cash my way.

Cheers Smile
Would you be interested in a swap with mine at all mate? As you've heard it sounds nice but not loud or anything... Looks pretty nice in an OEM+ kinda way.
Pics? I could be interested. I'm away on business for a few weeks so you'd have some time to shop.

This is a 6 exhaust yes? Smile Have you done any trackdays with it?

I could well be up for dibs here.
I want! It sounds incredibly pornographic! Swap for my magnex Tongue
Cheers Curt, I'll have a listen again this weekend, I may just go back to a standard system though Smile

C2K (sorry buddy I don't actually know your name!) - It's for a GTi-6, I've not done any track days with it, I'm guessing you want to know the noise emissions from it? I don't doubt it'd sound absolute porn on a charged engine though.

It's dirty here but here is a pic:

Name is Simon. Smile

It looks smart, Some pics of the general system would be nice. I was looking at a Jetex recently but was appalled to see the rusted condition, poor choice of stainless indeed. I am interested in the noise of it, as it's for my boosted Rallye and it's a track tool. I may have it as a starting point though as it's got a crappy powerflow system on there. What size is the piping? Don't suppose there's anywhere you could have it noise tested?

My mate had a Magnex you could hear from the next County, not interested in anything so ridiculously loud lol, I have Trevor for that.
I'm guessing Trevor is the TVR? You lucky barsteward lol I've just noticed you own a charged rallye, a TVR, and a HDi. I think I made a type in the exhaust price, it's actually £1,500 whistle

I'll be honest, it's a bit too loud for me as the 6 is my daily driver. I'm pretty sure I've got a video of it, I might chop up a section of video so you can hear it Smile

I'll try to get some more photos of it, I know I'll have the car jacked up and on stands this weekend so I can get plenty of pics of the underside and joins. Here's Mongoose's site for it:

Hmn, I can't seem to PM you and my signature has gone - not sure what's going on there.

2.25" bore, that might be problematic. I'll have to do a bit of reading. Hope it's suitable. :/
It's back Smile I had to change some usergroup settings last night while setting up a new section on the forum. You'd been moved to the new usergroup. PM away! Smile
Can I just add, this exhaust sounds utter porn. I deliberately remove my right foot from the floor when following Scott, just to listen lol. Lovely warble, and some epic poppage.

Free bump Smile
