Expect most of you have already seen my thread in the couch but thought i'd write up a proper project thread!

So, the car itself is a 1992 E36 325i with a 192bhp 2.5 straight 6 under the hood! The car used to belong to my brother with his intent to turbo it and keep it as a sleeper, unfortunetly though he lost his job and this has been sat in his garage the past 2 years..

As you can imagine it's not perfect and needs some TLC but the majority of the bodywork isn't too bad, keeping it looking exactly the same as it is now to add to the 'sleeper' effect..

The plans:
* 6- Turbo flange top mount manifold
* Unsure exactly what turbo I'll be using yet but something GT30** sized should produce around 500bhp
* 13 Row oil cooler with filter relocation kit
* Oil feeds for sump drain
* 2.5" Intercooler kit (Probably similar to the one i used on the HDi)
* Re-circ valve (this over a D/V to add to the sleeper'ness)
* Uprated FPR
* 38mm External wastegate
* Oil catch tank
* Stand alone management - Not entirely sure what to use yet, any suggestions appreciated!
* 660cc Injectors
* Uprated fuel pump

There's probably loads of stuff i've missed out but that's just what came from the top of my head, Also been looking at a company called TRM in the 'states.. They do a full turbo kit which will take you from 192bhp ATF to 600bhp ATW and all for $5,200/£3,319 which is a tempting price for a ready made kit including management..

Lots to think about, cheers for looking !
This is gonna be so full of win and I hope it all comes together as planned.

Looking forward to seeing this take shape
Fair enough, wouldn't mind a coupe one of these, not overly keen on the saloons but still a nice car.

Bet you paid pennies!
Cheers Andy, Well put it this way trent, the wheels are worth double what i paid for the car itself..

I'd have prefered a coupé over a 4dr but beggars can't be choosers Tongue
Winner if all goes to plan! get on with it then Tongue

I need to scratch my BMW itch sometime soon! Undecided
Haha, sell 205, buy BMW,????, profit? Lol

yes that is the plan, but it will be a 2002 or a 1602, non of this modern shite Tongue

Retro BMW FTW Wink
The 2002 is a beautiful car... lots a dollar though!I've always had a soft spot for e36's though
Yeah but come on..................they are oh so much WIN when modified correctly...........Retro is awesome Big Grin

I really don't care that much for any of the BMW's after the E21 TBH (plus pre '73 cars are tax exempt) I just much prefer the older style cars, and nobody said the engine would stay standard, just not really thought too much into that yet Wink
Yeah.. tax exempt with mahoosive power is just pure win all over!
Should be pretty epic when it's done!

If you want sleeper look I'd remove those M3-looking alloys too. Whatever you do as long as it doesn't involve the word 'stance' it will be good.
M3 Looking? They're genuine M3 alloys, a rarer type as well, rears are 9J wide instead of the usual 8J Smile

'Stance' is pointless with that much power, i'd like to be able to drive it than scrape along the floor everywhere lol

edited for you Wink
Sorry Mark, but someone's completely ruined that 2002.

Looking forward to seeing this take shape, Danny, love it.

Shhh... it's early mark Tongue

Much as this is an awesome project, cubic capacity > boost Wink

"There ain't no substitute for cubes"
I'm sorry, but i'd rather a 2.5 producing 600 than a 3. something + producing half that haha.. i do like the noise though hehe

Been reading up on alot of turbo builds today.. Thinking of doing it DIY to an extent.. probably buy TRM's tuning package though
I'd love to build an E36 with a V12 from a 750/850...
With two turbos.... Tongue

Yeah they would sound awesome with a straight through pipe!
I saw an MOT failed 750iL on eBay for 400 quid not long ago as well lol
get on it man!
Sod that, can't really afford the 1.8T, hence me searching for a HDi lol
Ahhh i see haha.. true, always nice to dream though lol
two threads and its not boosted yet?
caaaaaaaaaam on! Big Grin
