So, Swapping my engine on the weekend of the 7th/8th. Like for like, xu7jp4.

While I am there, I was intending to get a couple of little bits done while there is the extra space. Just wanted to bung my shopping list up incase I have overlooked anything and anyone would be so kind as to rectify my mistake Smile

Engine Swap: In no particular order

Engine Mounts
Gearbox Oil
Engine Oil
Exhaust Fire ring
Exhaust manifold wrap (going to be putting '6 mani on)
Head Gasket
x4 Valve guide seals
Bottom rad hose seal
Driveshaft seals
Coolant
Inlet gasket
Exhaust Gasket
Cambelt
Rallye Aux belt setup (removing aircon)
Clutch arm bushes
New pinch bolts for lower arm ball joint (putting eccentric top mounts on)
Gear Linkages
Front wheel bearings
A shit load of patience

IIRC the engine has a new 'stat, water pump and belt tensioners on it. Needs 2 valve guide seals replacing, hence some of the parts above...

If anything sticks out that I've forgotten please lemme know Smile
You missed the bit where you put a '6 engine in....

You missed the bit where you wind your neck in 'cos you went for ages wanting a '6 engine, but didnt MTFU and get one. Dont go thinking your all high and mighty 'cos you've had one for a week

Wink

Plus, where reg is going he doesnt need a '6 engine...
Meh I had a '6 engine lined up. Arranged to hit and everything. Was gunna be a ninja thing for FCS, then I got a loan for the gfs bloody bettle and then I had no spare money haha

Where is reg going?

Please tell me it's turbo time!
Furry muff.

Its secret ninja stuff matt, probably out the bag already lol. The manifold will be running posotive pressure either way... ninja
Don't need a cambelt. It's brand new!
Also if you want to be cheap, the engine is full will new synthetic Mobil 1. No need to change it really.
Furry muff about the belt. Bonus.

I'll get oils anyway m, change it while the engine is running in. Won't hurt.
Leave what's in there for a few hundred miles. When you take the head off you will probably end up mixing oil and coolant anyway so leave that oil in to collect all the crap then change it.
