Hello. I have a couple of 306s, both diesel. My latest acquisition (a DW8) came with just one key. Timpsons tell me to have a spare cut will be £50. That sounds a bit expensive, I don't need it to remote lock just chipped so I can start and drive. Can anyone give me some pointers? I'm near Eastbourne in East Sussex. Thanks.
Have you the code for the 'bsi' ?

It's a 4 digit number. Kept on a credit card type thing

No, all I've got is the one key.
I know the thing you mean, usually with the handbook or service history.
I might try an independent locksmiths in Bexhill.
Thanks for the pointer anyway.
Locksmiths can cut the key... But no code the chip without that 4 digit code. Can get round it with an unlocked ECU. But bit of a waste on a dw8
You can get round it on a dw8 by fitting a Bosch ve as well. Then you've sorted your key issue and you can run veg. Win win

Its already running a Bosch pump, would it have a chipped key then?
TBH I don't know why the DW8s get such a bashing, they're tractors but economic and reliable, if fickle.
Not thought about running veg - that's literally food for thought!
Thanks all for the suggestions.
Mate of mine has the dw8 with a Bosch, has run veg for years. It's slower than me on a miniature bicycle mind.

Ph3 has chipped keys
