306oc - Peugeot 306 Owners Club & Forum

Hi, I'm posting on behalf of a friend with an immaculate 2000 306 auto 1.6. The ABS ring which is plastic has split and causing vibration on the pedal. The only way he has been able to get a new one was by buying a complete CV joint, but this has a metal ring (correct amount of windows on it).

Just wondering if anyone knows if this will work ok as it's a fair bit of to fit the whole joint to find out that it doesn't work.

Alternatively would anyone know if he could get a replacement plastic ring anywhere??

Thy all came out if factory metal. Plastic was cheap nasty aftermarket ones. You may also want to replace the sensor if it's rubbed in it.

try J&R driveshafts in Birmingham..i remember seeing that they sell abs rings ??? worth a try anyway..
