Won’t start when driven for a shorter or longer distance.
Starts when cold. Did search the internet and see the some people have changed the sensor at the flywheel, so I change that part.

But the same problem came back. The problem occurred ones or twice a month, but lately the problem has increased.
Took the car to my local dealer, and did perform a diagnostic test on it. He could only find one code, immobilizer has been trigged.
He could not find any other faults, so I got the car back and drove it for a week.
He also say I should try the other keys I have. So when the car refused to start, I tried the other two keys, but same problem.

Then the problems came back. I took the car back to the dealer again and this time he could not get in contact with the BSI?
The car did not stop when he turned off the ignition as well. He told me the car is too old to do any more fault finding, so he recommend me to scrap it!!
Regarding the igniton not turing the engine off, I have ordered a new igniton switch from eBay.
Will receive the part later this month.

Have found this video on youtube, regarding the brown relay that might cause this fault.
I have not got the car back home, so I don't know if I have this relay in my car.

I have searched the internet and see that many people have the same problems.
Anyone here that could point me in the right direction to find the fault?
if its a 306 then there is no BSI.

however your profile says you have a 206, most of these do.

it does sound like an ignition switch issue, relay could also give similar symptoms as they can stick when hot especially if the casing is broken.

never take an old vehicle to a dealer! they cost too much and are never interested in old cars.

It's my daugthers first car, and yes it's a 206.

EDIT: Now I see what you mean with 306, I'm in the wrong forum  Huh

Yes you are right, they show little interest in trying to fix it. Angry

You think this could be a good investment?

yes, that's a good price too.
Just in case you hadn't spotted it, that version of PP2000/Lexia 3 is shipped from Hong Kong.  Not really an issue unless you have a problem with it & need to make a return.  Also, it needs Windows 7 or older to run, according to the info.  (A lot of versions will only run on XP or earlier).

If the 206 you've got is fully OBDII compliant then you could get a generic code reader.  Some of the better ones (still not particularly expensive) will give you live data when the cars running.  I'm sure someone on here could recommend something.  You won't be able to programme keys with a generic reader though.
