Well sunday 13th aug  i was browsing ebay a little bit tipsy and saw a 205 xs not to far from me that little like a good little buy so stuck a bid in of £300 thinking i wont get it but at least i tried lol.  Low and behold i wake up Monday morning and i won the bid.  Whoops how do i explain that to her indoors when im ment to be saving for our wedding lol.  Simple say its your mates lol.

Sunday 20th aug i set off to collect a recovery truck i rented and went to pick it up.  It wasnt to bad considering but still plenty of rust to sort.  its a Xs with rally head and r6 carbs it was taken off the road to sort the rear arch and drivers sill rust (which is bad) and also it wouldnt run.  So got it back to my garage and had a quick look as to why it wouldnt run.  Found a leaking fuel pipe so patch that up and primed it a few times and she fired.  Excellent so just dumped it in the corner til i empty the garage of my GTI-6 track car overhaul.

saw this on ebay almost bought it myself. Just didnt have the time to go view first
well i won it without seeing it lol, i then had one of my drivers not turn up for work so had to go out and do his run and ended up delivering across the road from it fortunatly. Its got a bit of rust tbh and the drivers rear arch is pretty bad but they've supplied a genuine repair panel so not all bad. Sounds ok when running to just needs a really good clean
wow that looks like a nice project. Im sure itll look a lot better once its cleaned!
Looks good! my engine bay looked like that a couple of weeks ago
Cool project base - have you sussed out what needs sorting?
Not rreally just got it back, got it running then dumped it in the corner lol

Been down today and dragged it out to throw some water on it but it definatly needs a bit doing.

The drivers rear panel has been changed before and very badly hence why its rusted through again

Theres lots of surface rust in the foot wells and the passenger rear arch which luckily arent bad yet, and the drivers inner front behind the headlight needs a patch but thats a common one anyway.

So got it running properly by fitting some new fuel pipe and it starts perfectly. Just when idling and revving it spits fuel which im assuming is because its been sat for so long.

So the plan, finsh the 6 get it out the garage, put the 205 in, strip and repair/weld what ever needs doing, drop a tu5jp4 and have some fun.
