EGR Blanking.

I know there is plenty of forums about it but I have 2 questions

the standard egr blanking plates on ebay? do they just go in the inlet elbow?

if the egr is blanked at the inlet does the plug/vac pipe need to be pulled? and if the pipe is pulled does it need plugged?

W Reg 2000 HDI for reference .

The plate goes between the inlet elbow and the egr pipe, if it's blocked physically you don't need to unplug it but can if you want, you unplug the electrical connector as opposed to the vacuum hose though. If you did pull the hose off you'd need to block it with something or you'd have a vacuum leak
