looking at exhauist options for my projecy and I read on the 205GTi forum that: 

a 306 td exhaust will be a straight fit onto a 205 with an XUD conversion.

no! A 205 TD exhaust will bolt straight on, or hack up a n/a 205 diesel exhaust.

On mine i've got a 306 downpipe and then made up the rest of it. The 306 downpipe does the job but does rattle against the gear rod sometimes.

I've got plenty of rattles on the 205 without adding more 

hmmm hopefully i can find a td exhaust, if not i will have to convince Bash to do some welding... 

OEM 205 exhaust is 2inch. Ideal.
