Does anyone have any knowledge of the 155 tdci engine fitted to the mk3 mondeo st, gettin bird of 85 bhp in the van lol, spoke to vantuner who specialises in fords an he's says that the 85s are destined for death after anything more than 130 so was thinking of chucking the 155 in with a straight pipe de egr an remap for a nice 200bhp
Iirc they can only go to 185 ish? Dont seem to be as bad as the 2.0 with injectors etc but noisy engines tbh lol

is that the puma 2.2? seen a few making big power on basic mods.

85 bhp engine has smaller injectors iirc, 135 is same as 155 I believe.
Much improved version of the engine.

Far less in the way of issues, especially injectors etc. A good engine. Used in the transit too I believe, in detuned set up...

From what iv gathered the 85 although bein the same block has different pistons an conrods which mak ethem unreliable past 120, but the 155 has better piston conrods injectors and pump. And the turbo is vnt not standard vacuum control. Just hopping that a write off mondeo st comes available

and newer defenders,  as well as some other landrovers,  not a bad engine but a little bit "electricy" for some
