Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where you can buy new spring retaining cups? I believe the original part number has been replaced by the 206/partner one which is 5031 84. Trying to avoid peugeot if possible.
scrapyard is the only alternative to a dealer.
Neat car parts in West Drayton sell alot of genuine pug stuff, they might be able to help. If not pop the part number into ebay.
Your after part number 2 in the pic? I should have some 2nd hand ones about i could sort if you want?
Yeah part 2. Can you send me some pics? I've got some but I'm looking for some in really good condition.

I haven't got any to hand but they would just be your average 2nd hand condition ones. What you could do is have some sand blasted and powder coated that shouldn't cost too much and would look pretty smart.
Prob be about the same cost to buy from Peugeot compared to powder coating second hand?
£21 each new.
If I'm free tomorrow I'll see what o can do. Same parr number for each side isn't it?

Not sure if new ones come with any sort of paint finish though. All the ones i have seen don't look like they have ever been painted. All depends what you want them to look like though i guess, at the end of the day it's not a part that anyone can really see.

what dampers are you fitting? some aftermarket units don't need external bump stops.
bilstein B8s. from reading several threads on the gti6 forum you end up with knocking if you dont fit them.
Emailed peugeot for parts and availability. Peugeot rugby as this is on the way home from work. Hope to get a response, even emailing was difficult. Couldnt phone as in the office.
525413 9.73 each Dust boots
503327 19.06 each Bump Stop
503137 12.62 each Top Spring Pan

Ive asked them to get in the two dust boots and the two top spring pans but not the bump stops which i have no ordered off ebay for £4.75 each.

I would say that could be my issue but i've got bump stops fitted.
Also an update. As suspected when it came to ordering the top cups had been replaced with the aforementioned part number and are now 25.86 each! Should arrive tomorrow but will be picking up on Thursday afternoon on the way home Smile
