I am looking for my engine number on a XUD9SD engine. I found a plate with this number:

10CUCK
101656

The plate is to the right of the fuel pump, right behind the fuel lines going to the injectors and above the oil filter. There's another plate to the right of the first one that says "DHW PTC", "DHW" being the engine code. Is this first plate (seen in the pic attached) the engine number plate with my engine number? Just want to be 100% positive. Thanks!

DHW is as you rightly said the engine code so the other must be the number mate i think yes

early ones had the tin plate as you have photo'd and the later ones were stamped in the block below the starter just above the sump line.

what mr fish says. bit of grime to wipe away on most but they are visable with a bit of wd40 and wire brushing
