Does anyone know what the Wattage of the standard fans are in the twin fan set up, as i can't see a rating and been googleing to find mixed ratings.

Reason i ask is i need to order new fans ready for pfc expo but not sure what rating to go for, i know it has to be less than 480w per fan due to the 40amp fuse (the power triangle, 40a x 12v = 480w) i know most fans are less than that but just wondering about the standard fans ratings for comparison. Also have to think about motors having start up currents (guess thats the reason of a fairly high amp fuse).

Also what are you guys running?

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

1.4 air con model.

1.4 Gate fans are 120W each
gti6 Gate fans are 200W each

1.4 1253 J4 ECIA fan
GTI6 1253 J2 ECIA fan

so ECIA fans are different ratings too but not sure on the rating
i think theyre 250w each on the highest power variants.
Cheers, i've seen some saying 120w and 160w when googleing.
i was looking at 80w fans but thinking due to the low current draw more than likely wouldn't shift enough air so if a standard 1.4 fan is around 120w then i'll look around the same.
dont forget that if youre looking at a new slimline fan they are much newer design than the 25 year old pug fans.
ye the majority of slimlines i've seen are 80w or 120w, 220w at max was looking at spal but there pretty steep on the price.
Its worth spending the extra getting Spal. I had copy Spal fans on my SC6 and replaced them for the genuine item. The difference was night and day
