Please...lets just get a countrywide scope of opinion on what is "mint"

For me its:
Bad condition.
Average for its age.
Good condition.
Very good condition.
Mint.
Brand new.
Ah the age old argument. For almost everyone "mint" is a slang now. Yeah man its mint. Meaning itll do. But i agree with you a fair but and most sales people annoy me saying mint

its a chav word that means dressed up avoid at all costs!
I've never seen a mint 306. In fact brand new cars aren't usually mint either!!

The one annoys me is good condition 'for age' which actually means it's shit, but that's ok as it's old and high miles... Dodgy
Mint to me, is brand new.
Mint = a good solid hint that the person selling the item is lying about EVERYTHING

Same for me but after mint comes "showroom".. and is what i would expect to see on a forecourt,  ie not much short of just rolled off the production line..

for second hand cars and vehicles showroom condition i would accept one or two small blemishes (mum has purchased a 2014 kuga and that is described as showroom in my eyes, it has a small scuff on the rear quarter panel that would fit inside a 1pence piece. that's it.
It seems mint varies...
Mint interior and tyres seem to mean to a chap...
Ruined drivers seat, knackered gear gaitor, smoked in, stained and one flat dead tyre and two perished tyres resulting in cracks you could get ya finger im
i bought a "mint" axle once to rebuild, generally i rarely buy any but if it moves i normally have it.

the famous words of the seller

"its mint mate, no play"

Stripped to find this
